Chief Minister's Urban Leaders Fellowship 2018

Delhi government has recently announced Chief Minister's Urban Leaders Fellowship Programme on Twitter. The programme wishes to fill a total of 30 positions out of which 10 will be for Associate Fellows.

About the Programme

The Chief Minister’s Urban Leaders Fellowship programme provides a unique opportunity to young leaders across India to work within Delhi government to address some of the most pressing urban challenges in India, and experience what ‘making change happen’ looks like. The Fellowship aims to attract outstanding young men and women from across the country under the age of 35 years who are passionate about public service and are willing to work for two years.


Key Features

» Fellows will be assigned to work with Ministers or Senior officials across various departments of Delhi government such as Education, Health, Water, Environment, Transport, Art & Culture etc.

» Fellows will provide analytical support in the formulation of policies, implementation of projects and various governance initiatives.

» Remuneration of ₹1,25,000 per month will be provided to Fellows (20 positions) and ₹75,000 per month will to Associate Fellows (10 positions).

IGNOU Rajiv Gandhi International Prize 2013

Indira Gandhi National Open University- IGNOU has invited nominations by individuals or institutions or organizations for the award of Rajiv Gandhi International Prize for Education and Technology Development worth Rs. 5 lacs.


The individual(s)/institution(s) who have made outstanding contributions in any of diverse areas in the last 5 years shall be considered for the Award viz Technology enabled education and development; Innovation in the field of educational processes: pedagogy, delivery, affordability, dissemination, community involvement, etc; and Utilisation / novel ICT- based intervention(s) in the field of education; Research and Development in educational technology can apply.

The nominated individual(s)/institution(s) should be engaged in School or Tertiary education and training at national/international level from developing countries. Nominated individual could be self employed or should be working for a ‘not-for-profit’ institution / organisation. Same is applicable to nominated institution/organization.

Nomination can be made by the Vice Chancellor(s) of a University, Chairperson(s) / President(s) of Academies of all India character, Head(s) of the Institutions of national importance, Director(s) of IITs / IIMs, Director(s) General of the major R&D organisations such as the ICSSR, ICAR, ICMR, CSIR, etc.

The nomination for the Award should be made in the prescribed format specifically indicating the outcome/impact of the work of the individual / institution / organization. Prescribed Nomination form and the detailed modalities are available in the IGNOU website i.e. www.ignou.ac.in

Young India Fellowship-YIF 2013

The Young India Fellowship-YIF 2013 is a one year residential postgraduate course that concentrates on the liberal arts and brings together a group of young graduates from around India and from varied disciplines with the aim of creating India's next batch of well-rounded socially conscious leaders

Eligibility : The Young India Fellowship programme is open to all Indian citizens with a recognised undergraduate or post graduate degree and no more than two year of work experience. Applicants from all areas of specialisation are encouraged to apply. While applicants who have been educated with a vernacular language as their medium of instruction are welcome,it is expected that they will be able to converse,read write in English

Selection : Each applicant will be evaluated on a combination of the following criteria :

* Demonstrated talent in the domain of their interest

* Demonstrated passion to learn things beyond the prescribed curriculum

* Good academic record, both at school and college level

* Involvement and achievement in extra-curricular activities

* Performance in interview and potential to benefit from the fellowship

SMCS-TISS Early Career Fellowship

SMCS-TISS Early Career Fellowship

The Centre for Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences announces a fellowship for film-makers at an early stage of their career. The fellowship is designed to provide the resources and environment for films that are innovative, relevant and contribute to the growing body of documentary and short film work in India.

Each fellowship consists of:

* A stipend of Rs. 25,000 per month for a maximum period of eight months.
* The provision of in-house HDV video editing facilities on the Mumbai campus if required.
* Reimbursement of actuals of production expenses on the basis of a pre-approved budget. Maximum budgetary allotment for production is Rs. 2.50 lakhs.

The fellowship is open to all Indian nationals. An early career media practitioner is defined as someone who has completed her/his media education not more than 5 years ago. In case of applicants without a media degree, they should have executed not more than 5 projects.

Two fellowships are available based on the quality of applications. One fellowship is open and the other fellowship will be based in the North-East Region of India.
Interviews for the open fellowship will be held on the Mumbai campus of TISS. Short-listed candidates will have to come for an interview on December 29, 2012.

Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellow Scheme

The Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellows-PMRDF scheme is being specifically launched to reach out to talented young professionals willing to be part of a larger change. After selection,these professionals will work in district where the Central Government is implementing an Integrated Action Plan to deal with left wing extremism.They will support the district administration in providing socio-economic situation analysis,identifying critical gaps in development programmes,providing inputs in preparation of district plans and outcome budget and creating a network of voluntary cooperation in the district.This is an opportunity to become the foot soldiers of development where it is needed most.

PMRDF is an excellent opportunity in the development sector that will provide exceptional growth potential.

Eligibility :
* Must be 21-30 years old
* Must be a postgraduate in Social Science/ Science/ Management or a graduate in Law/ Engineering/ Medicine
* Knowledge of hindi and a local language used in an IAP district is desirable.
* Work experience is preferred

Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive training programme

The chosen candidates will receive an attractive all-inclusive package.In addition,a performance linked bonus upto 10% of the honorarium may be payable at the end of every financial year.

Chief Ministers Fellowship Program 2011

The Chief Minister's Fellowship Program Gujarat is an extraordinary opportunity where Fellows will spend 11 months on high profile projects, based in Gujarat, to make an exceptional impact on social development.

The Government of Gujarat is a proven leader in economic growth, development of agriculture, innovation in scheme design and use of advanced technology in governance. This high performance will be extended to the Fellowship Program to inspire the best young achievers to advance as contributors of excellence.

The second batch of Fellows will start the program in October, 2011. Fellows will be placed with a Department and will begin the program with an induction period and ground level study. The 1st batch of Fellows had completed projects on spiritual tourism, energy management in urban development and human development analysis and in other areas.

To be eligible for the Chief Minister's Fellowship Program, applicants must have, as a minimum, a university degree and relevant work experience. Post graduate qualifications and significant work experience will be preferred. Fellows are expected to demonstrate and document outstanding work and impact, as well be building their knowledge and skill set for the development sector.

CDC Fellowship Scheme For Students

Consultancy Development Center Fellowship Scheme For Students pursuing B.Tech / B.E / MBA / PGDBM

Applications are invited for the CDC Fellowship Scheme

This award is offered to students who undertake a live consulting project during their education programme.

Academic Requirement to apply

At least 80% marks in 10+2
Student should be enrolled in B.E / B.Tech / MBA / PGDBM courses from AICTE / UGC approved institutions / colleges / universities.

Fellowship Amount

Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand) would be awarded to the students whose reports are accepted by the Centre as per the guidelines given under the Evaluation process.
