IGNOU Online Programmes on Sustainability Science
IGNOU is offering two short term online programmes for January 2013 session
Admission is open for the following online programmes in the discipline of Sustainability Science
* Appreciation Programmes on Sustainability Science-APSS
* Appreciation on Sustainable Management of Wetlands-APSMW
The major objective of APSS is to build the capacity of policy makers, administrators, scientists and educators as well as general public in the science and art of environmentally, economically and socially sustainable development while that of APSMW is to enhance awareness on the role of wetlands on social, cultural and livelihood dimensions of the dependent communities.
The last date to apply is 15th December 2012.

IGNOU Online Programme in Sustainable 2012
IGNOU's Chair for Sustainable Development (CSD) announces admission for its two online programmes, viz, Appreciation Programme on Sustainability Science (APSS) and Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Wetlands (APSMW).
The core objective of APSS programme is to build the capacity of policy makers, administrators, scientists and educators as well as the general public in environmentally, economically and socially sustainable development. It will help those involved in agriculture to launch an era of ever-green revolution which can help enhance productivity in perpetuity without ecological harm.
APSMW,online programme aims to provide introduction to the importance of wetlands, the cause of their degradation, restoration efforts and sustainable management. It enhances awareness on the role of wetlands on social, cultural and livelihood dimensions of the dependent communities.
The last date for submission of application form is 30th March, 2012.

The Chair for Sustainable Development of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) which has to promote education and research in the field of Sustainable Science is offering different short term online programmes.
Admission is open for January 2012 session for Online Appreciation Programmes on Sustainability Science and Appreciation Programme on Sustainable Management of Wetlands.
Programme Objective: To build the capacity of policy makers, administrators, scientists and educators as well as the general public in the science and art of environmentally, economically and socially sustainable development.
