Eligibility-:
Only the candidate, who satisfy or is likely to satisfy the following eligibility requirements for admission to the course, shall be considered eligible to appear for the AICET-10.

Nationality and Age-:
The candidate, seeking to appear at the AICET-10 shall be an Indian national and shall have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st Dec, 2010 or as prescribed by the concerned council.

Qualification-:
i) Passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) examination of the Indian School Certificate [ISC] examination / Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 HSC examination of any recognized Board / university from any school / college situated in India after 12 years of study. The candidate with other qualifications shall have to get equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

ii) The candidate, seeking admission to the course, shall have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained at least 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination, i.e. 10+2 / HSC or an equivalent examination.

iii) The candidates belonging to the Backward classes shall have obtained at least 40 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the qualifying examination (H.SC or equivalent) as per course qualification.

iv) A candidate who has appeared or is likely to appear for qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C. etc. and whose results have not been declared at the time of AICET-10 shall also be considered eligible to appear for
AICET-2010, provided he / she has offered the above mentioned subjects at the said qualifying examinations.

v) CET-Marks Eligibility for Admission to MBBS Course : A candidate must secure not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) at Common Entrance Test AICET-2010.

vi) CET-Marks for Admission to B.P.Th Course as per the inter-se – merit AICET – 2010

Entrance Examination for AIIMS -M.B.B.S. Admissions commencing on 1st August, 2010.

Eligibility Criteria-:
(i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
candidates) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or whose results of Class-XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2010 are eligible to apply.
(ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2010.

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs. 1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained in the following manner:

B) Off-line : The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/Registered Post by sending a written request with an account payee Bank Demand Draft of Rs.1050/- (Rs.850/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS), AIIMS payable at New Delhi. The Bank Draft should be valid up to July/August 2010. The name of the course applied for must be written on reverse of the Demand Draft alongwith candidate’s name. The request must reach the Assistant
Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi – 110 608 on or before 15.03.2010.
Money Order/Cheque/Postal Order/Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The words “REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR MBBS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2010” should be written on the envelope containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in/non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

Admission to the MBBS course 2010

Admissions to MBBS course commencing from 02 Aug 2010. Total 130 candidates (including a maximum of 25 girls) will be selected. All the 105 boys and 25 girls admitted to Armed Forces Medical College, Pune have compulsory liability to serve as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services on graduation.

All candidates admitted to the college are required to execute a bond to this effect for an amount of Rs. 15 lacs (Rupees Fifteen lacs) at the time of joining the college. Students removed from service liability due to any reason will have to pay the bond money as per conditions laid down by Govt of India.

Ten seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates who also have similar service liability and have to fulfil the requirements of medical fitness, age, educational qualification and qualifying the entrance examination as per details given in the prospectus.

SPECIAL CONCESSIONS : The Govt will provide free accommodation and entitled rations, subsidised messing, AC 3 Tier free railway warrant from college to home and back during vacations, a book subsidy of Rs. 12,000/- during entire training period, uniform allowance of Rs. 6000/- per student during first year and Rs. 1250/- per year as maintenance allowance in subsequent years and any other misc allowances as applicable.

All candidates should be medically fit as per laid down standards for the Armed Forces.

Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Marriage during the course is not permitted. The college is fully and compulsorily residential both for boys and girls.

ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS TO APPEAR IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION GENERAL
A candidate seeking admission to the MBBS Course is eligible to take the entrance
examination if he/she fulfills the following criteria:-

(a) A candidate should be citizen of India. The candidate may be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India. Foreign nationals of Indian origin may be admitted only after they have acquired Indian citizenship or in respect of whom a certificate of eligibility is issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

(b) Must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.

(c) Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt of India, Ministry of Defence (see Appendix 'A').

(d) Must have attained the age of 17 years on 31 Dec 2010 but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date i.e. must have been born not earlier than 01 January 1989 and not later than 31 December 1993, if the academic qualification of the candidate is 10+2 or equivalent. A candidate who has passed B.Sc. examination or will be appearing in Final B.Sc. examination and seeking admission must not have attained the age of 24 years i.e. must have been born not earlier than 01 January1987.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have passed one of the following qualifying examinations in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard:-

(a) The Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination in Science of a statutory Indian University/board or other recognised examination body with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology which shall include practical test in all of these science subjects.

(b) The Pre-professional/Pre-Medical examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (after passing either Higher Secondary School examination or pre- University or equivalent examination) which shall include practical test in these science subjects.


(c) Ist year of three years Degree course of a recognised University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in Science subjects provided the examination is a University Examination.

(d) Senior Secondary of a statutory Examination Board of Indian School Certificate examination of 12 years of study, last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at higher level.


(e) Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education with English at Higher level, any one of the Modern Indian or Modern Foreign or Classical Languages, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subject.

(f) Any other examination which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Higher Secondary Science/Pre-Professional/Pre-medical Examination of Indian University/Board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these Science subjects.

(g) B.Sc. Examination of a recognised Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination in not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. The criteria for marks in Qualifying Examination (i.e. 10 + 2 or equivalent exam) remains the same for the B.Sc. candidates also.

(h) Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in qualifying examination up to 01 May 2010 may also apply. Admission, if selected, however, will be subject to passing and meeting the eligibility criteria as per paras 10 and 11 above.

(j) Regarding the requirement of Mathematics, candidate who has passed Higher Secondary, Senior Cambridge or Indian School Certificate examination and had not offered Mathematics in the final year will be deemed eligible if he/she had studied Mathematics up to the pre-final year stage (X Class) and had passed an examination in the subject provided it was at least of Tenth standard. A certificate signed by the Head Master or Principal of the school in which candidate has studied should be produced at the time of interview in such cases. A candidate who had not taken Mathematics at the Tenth or an equivalent examination but had subsequently passed in Mathematics as an additional subject in I. Sc. /B.Sc. examination is also eligible.

The following categories of candidates are not eligible to apply:-

(a) Candidates who have passed in Domestic Science, Domestic Arithmetic, Lower Maths separately or in combination with other subjects like General Science/Social studies in High School/Higher Secondary (Multipurpose) or equivalent examination.

(b) Candidates who have passed only Pre-University/Pre-Degree (one year course) or Pre- Professional in Agriculture/ Veterinary/ Dental Examination.


(c) Candidates who have passed the Pre-professional or equivalent qualifying examination as a Private candidate.


(d) Candidates who have secured the requisite percentage but in subsequent attempts or compartment examination.

METHOD OF SELECTION : Candidates will be required to appear in the competitive written test of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Intelligence, Logic, Reasoning, English Language and Comprehension on 02 May 2010. paper (size 9 cms x 5 cms). Please ensure that the Demand Draft bears the code number of the issuing bank. The candidate must write his/her name & address on the back of the Demand Draft. The candidate should enclose an application for obtaining prospectus and application form giving his/her particulars and address and enclose a self addressed envelope of 11" X 13" size and affix postage stamp of Rs. 55/-. Bank Drafts on any other banks other than nationalized banks, Money Orders, Cash or Postal Orders will not be accepted. Each request should be accompanied by a separate demand draft. Combined demand draft for more than one application will not be accepted. Request for prospectus to be sent by post will be accepted from 21 Dec 2009 to 19 Jan 2010 upto 4 pm only.

(c) Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from www.afmc.nic.in from 21 Dec 2009 to 29 January 2010. Such forms, printed on A4 size glossy paper, duly completed in all respect along with a Crossed Demand Draft for a sum of Rs 250/- drawn in favour of "Commandant AFMC, Pune" on any nationalized bank payable at Pune be forwarded to AFMC Pune, so as to reach
there not later than 05 Feb 2010 at 4 PM. The candidate must write his/her name &
address on the back of the Demand Draft

AIPMT 2010 on 3rd April/11th April 2010

AIPMT 2010 ALL INDIA PRE-MEDICAL/PRE-DENTAL EXAMINATION, 2010

CBSE conducts the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Preliminary Entrance Examination every year on 1st Sunday of April. In the year 2010, the first Sunday falls on 4th April, 2010 which is EASTER SUNDAY. Accordingly, Board decided to fix the date of Preliminary Stage Examination on 11th April, 2010 (Second Sunday).

Indian Institute of Technology is also conducting Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) on 11th April, 2010 hence, CBSE has decided to reschedule the conduct of AIPMT Examination to avoid the difficulties to such candidates who wish to appear in both the examinations. The revised schedule of the AIPMT 2010 would be as follows:

AIPMT Preliminary Examination :- 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday) (REVISED)
AIPMT Final Examination :- 16th May, 2010(Sunday)

The pattern of AIPMT 2010 for both Preliminary and Final Stage Examinations would be OBJECTIVE.
