NEET 2017: 69 Medical Colleges cannot give MBBS Admission

With medical admission under National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) 2017 are undergoing, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has recently released a notice where it has listed out named of colleges that have been debarred from giving Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) admissions to students.

It has come to the notice of Medical Council of India that certain unscrupulous elements are misleading students by alluring them that they would get them admitted in MBBS course in Medical Colleges. In this regard, it is brought to the notice of all concerned that admissions for MBBS in all Medical Colleges falling within the purview of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 for the academic year 2017-18 has to be through the common counseling."

Further, the counseling would be conducted by the following authorities only:

The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for 15 per cent All India Quota seats in government medical colleges of the contributing states and for All MBBS seats in medical colleges run by deemed universities

The Designated Authority of the State/ Union Territory Government in respect of MBBS seats in government medical colleges and non-governmental medical colleges

Moreover, by way of this advisory all candidates interested in taking admission in medical colleges should check the status regarding grant of permission by the Central Government to the colleges from the website of Medical Council of India (https://www.mciindia.org/) and only after verifying the status of the permission should proceed to take admission, the official notice read.

According to MCI, all the candidates can check the list of medical colleges that have not been granted permission by the Medical Council of India/Central Government for admitting students in MBBS for academic year 2017-18 and 2018 -19

AIPMT 2010 on 3rd April/11th April 2010

AIPMT 2010 ALL INDIA PRE-MEDICAL/PRE-DENTAL EXAMINATION, 2010

CBSE conducts the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Preliminary Entrance Examination every year on 1st Sunday of April. In the year 2010, the first Sunday falls on 4th April, 2010 which is EASTER SUNDAY. Accordingly, Board decided to fix the date of Preliminary Stage Examination on 11th April, 2010 (Second Sunday).

Indian Institute of Technology is also conducting Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) on 11th April, 2010 hence, CBSE has decided to reschedule the conduct of AIPMT Examination to avoid the difficulties to such candidates who wish to appear in both the examinations. The revised schedule of the AIPMT 2010 would be as follows:

AIPMT Preliminary Examination :- 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday) (REVISED)
AIPMT Final Examination :- 16th May, 2010(Sunday)

The pattern of AIPMT 2010 for both Preliminary and Final Stage Examinations would be OBJECTIVE.

COMEDK UGET 2009 On 17 May 2009

Admissions to Undergraduate courses in Private, Unaided, Medical and Engineering colleges of Karnataka for the academic year 2009-20 through COMEDK Under Graduate Entrance Test and Centralized Counseling ( COMEDK UGET 2009)

Karnataka Private Medical and dental Colleges Association and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering College Association have set up COMEDK to organize a “Common Entrance Test and Centralized counseling” that would facilitate selection of candidates on merit for admissions to undergraduate courses offered by member institutions (Medical and engineering). COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (single window system).

The details of the arrangement made will be publicized in due course on www.comedk.org

There is no Common Entrance Test for admissions to BDS during the year 2009-10

The application form along with Bulletin of information (BOI) is obtainable from the office of the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007, against a Bank Draft/ Banker‘s Cheque drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of ‘Registrar, University of Delhi' payable at Delhi in the following manner:

(I) By hand for Rs. 550/- (Rupees Five Hundred Fifty only) between 10:00 A.M. to 03:00 P.M. on all working days from 27th February, 2009 to 2nd April, 2009.

(ii) By post for Rs. 600/- (Rupees Six Hundred only) along with a self addressed envelop of 10" X 8" upto 17th March 2009.

JIPMER MBBS Admissions 2009 Process

Applications are invited from resident Indian nationals for admission to MBBS course for the session 2009, Eligibility criteria number of seats for various categories, method of entrance examination etc can be found on their official website (jipmer.edu.in). Seats are reserved for OBS/SC/ST candidates and for Puducherry PBS/SC candidates and person with disability as per the Government of India rules.

Prospectus and application forms (Scannable and non Scannable) can be obtained on cash payment of Rs. 750.00 (Unreserved and OBS) and Rs. 500.00 (SC/ST) from only The State Bank of India, JIPMER campus branch from 25.02.2009 to 15.04.2009. The bank timings when the application will be available are 10.00 AM to 04.00 PM on all working days (Monday to Friday) and from 10.00 Am to 12.00 Noon on Saturdays, Application forms can also be had from professor (Academic), JIMPER Puducherry 605006 up to 8 th April 2009 thru postal request, accompanied by a MICR bank draft of Rs. 750.00 (Unreserved and OBS) and Rs. 500.00 (SC/ST) drawn in favour of “accounts Officer, JIPMER” payable at any nationalized bank in Puducherry (UT). Two 13×7 cm self addressed labels must accompany with the postal request for the correct delivery of the application forms.

JIPMER MBBS 2009 application can also be submitted by an on-line process (Internet Based) by accessing the website www.jipmer.edu.in from 25.02.2009 to 08.04.2009. The candidates should first pay the non refundable fee of Rs. 750.00 (Unreserved and OBS) and Rs. 500.00 (SC/ST) by obtaining a demand draft as mentioned above. The draft details are required while filling up the online form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the online application form with the number after the successful submission of data. The printed form with candidates signature, left fingers print, photograph endorsed by gazetted officer and the demand draft must be send by the speed post so as to reach the professor (Academic). JIPMER, Puducherry 605-006 by 15 April 2009 0400 PM. Attested copies of recent OBC non creamy layer certificate/SC/ST candidates /medical certificate in support of orthopaedic disability must be enclosed with the application forms wherever applicable. These certificates are requires in the format prescribed in prospectus and obtained from competent revenue/medical authorities on or after October 2008. Failure to enclose these certificates will render the completed application (both off-line and on-line) ineligible for entrance examination.

Note: On-line applicants will be issued hall tickets for entrance examination only after receipt of on-line form completed in all respects with necessary enclosure and appropriate demand draft by the office of the professor (Academic), JIPMER unsigned/incompletely filled in applications/ applications received after 15 April 2009 will be rejected and drafts enclosed will not be refunded. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR AIIMS - M.B.B.S. COURSE AUGUST – 2009

Eligibility: i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or whose results of Class XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2009 are eligible to apply

AIPVT 2009 on 09th May, 2009

AIPVT Entrance Examination 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred under regulation 7 (7) of Veterinary Council of India – Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education – Degree Course (BVSc&AH) Regulations, 2008, the Veterinary Council of India shall conduct the All India Pre-Veterinary Colleges for the academic session 2009-10 on Saturday, the 09th May, 2009 (time 2 to 5 p.m.) at different centres throughout the country. A detailed notification containing the eligibility criteria, age, availability & last date of submission of Application Form etc. will be issued on 22ND December, 2008 in the leading newspapers. The information shall also be available on the website of the Council www.vci-india.in/www.vci.nic.in

DATE AND VENUE OF EXAMINATION :, the 9Th May, 2008 at the centers (cities) stated in the Information Bulletin/Website.

APPLICATION FORMS will be available from 22ND December, 2008

DURATION OF COURSE: The duration of B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course is spread over five complete academic years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
Qualifying Examination:
(i) A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination ( after a period of 12 years of study) the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training or equivalent qualification as prescribed in the Veterinary Council of India - Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education –Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H) Regulations, 1993. OR

Candidates who have passed the B.Sc. examination from a recognised University with not less than two of the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany/ Zoology), and has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

(ii) To be eligible for appearing in entrance examination, the candidates must have passed the qualifying Examination obtaining not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. In respect of candidates belonging to the SC/ST or other special category of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required at the qualifying examination shall be 10% less than that prescribed for general category.

(iii) A candidate who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the Entrance Examination, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the examination but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the B.V.Sc. &A.H. Programme, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks as prescribed at 3(ii) above, on or before 30Th June, 2008 and submit the documentary proof during counseling, if selected.

4 Age:-
(i) The candidate has attained or will attain age of seventeen (17) years on 31st December, 2009.

Armed Forces Medical College MBBS admissions 2009

Applications are invited for admission to the MBBS course at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, commencing from 01 Aug 2009

Eligibility: Applicants must have passed the XII standard /pre-professional /premedical examination or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board / Univet1ity as a regular student in all the subjects opted for in FIRST ATTEMPT with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English.

They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard. A graduate of B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry. Biology (Botany or Zoology) and also must have passed the earlier qualifying examination i.e. XII standard/'Pre professional (Med) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and obtained marks as stated above.

NOTE (a) Candidates who are to appear in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) up to 02 May 2009 may also appear for the test provisionally.

(b) The following categories of students are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply :- (i) Candidates who have passed in Domestic Science, Domestic Arithmetic, Lower Maths separately or in combination with other subjects like General Science, Social studies in High School / Higher Secondary (Multi Purpose) or equivalent examination (ii) Candidates who have passed only Pre-University / Pre-Degree (one year course) or Pre-Professional in Agriculture/ Veterinary/ Dental Examination (iii) Candidates who have passed the Pre-Professional or equivalent qualifying examination as private candidates.

Age Limit: Must have attained the age of 17 years on 31st December 2009 but must NOT have attained the age of 22 years on the date i.e. not born earlier than 01 January 1988 and not later than 31 December 1992, if the academic qualification of the candidate is 10+2 or equivalent. Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS admissions 2009

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences(MGIMS), Sevagram, Wardha, invites applications on prescribed form for admission to MBBS course starting from 1st July 2009. The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination to be held on 19Th April 2009 at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad & Mumbai. Those students who are going to appear in 10+2 Higher Secondary Board Examination in March / April 2009 are also eligible to appear in the competitive Entrance Examination.

Eligibility
The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The Candidate must have passed 12Th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in one and the same attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The fee structure in MGIMS is as applicable to the Govt. Medical Colleges in Maharashtra State. The Institute does not have any paid seats.

In the entrance examination the paper of Physics, Chemistry and Biology will have multiple choice questions, while that on Gandhian Thought will be of essay and / or short answer type.

How to Apply-:
The Prospectus and Application Form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 5 years, with model question papers of Physics Chemistry and Biology can be had from the office of the Dean by remitting a sum of Rs.1050/- (Rs.1000 + Rs.50 as postal charges) only by Money order in favour of the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, District Wardha - 442102 or by paying Rs.1000/- in cash at the college counter. Eligibility: Applicants should have successfully passed all years of their M,B,B.S / B.D.S. from an institution recognized by MCI/ DCI and must have completed / completing their internship by 30Th April, 2009.

Application procedure: Note: Send the Application in A4 size envelope only. Do not fold the application form. Applicants are requested to send the filled-in application form at the earliest to avoid any delay. Please do not wait until the last date to send in your forms. Ensure that the Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only), along with all the prescribed documents are kept ready before filling up the Online Application form. The Online application form has to be filled up properly and completely. Take a print of the filled in Application form and Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof.
