AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam 2016


AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam 2016

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the examination dates for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme for the session 2016. The entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 29, 2016.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:
The candidates should have completed class 12 from a recognised board or institute.

Age limit:
The minimum age of the candidates should be 17 years.

Application fee:
The general/OBC and SC/ST candidates are required to make the payment of Rs 1,000 and Rs 800 respectively.

How to apply:
The eligible candidates should apply online, at aiimsexams.org

Paper pattern:

The exam will be held for a duration of three and a half hours. The test will have 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge. The candidates must note that negative marking is applicable.

AIIMS MBBS Admissions 2015

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) application form for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) 2015 is now available. The application forms are to be submitted online from March 17 to April 10. Admissions are open for its branches at New Delhi, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh and Patna.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification: The candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board or university in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum marks for general category are 60 per cent while for SC or ST category it is 50 per cent.

Age limit: The applicants should not be less than 17 years before or on December 31 2015.

Selection procedure: The candidates shall be selected on the basis of an online entrance test, set to be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT).

Application procedure: The candidates are required to fill the registration form available online. No other mode of application shall be accepted. The forms are available at the official website www.aiimsexams.org.

Application fee: The registration fee for general and OBC categories is Rs 1000 and for SC or ST categories it is Rs 800.

This fee can be paid by credit card, debit card or challan, payable at any branch of State Bank of India.

Important dates:

The online registrations are available from March 17 to April 10.

Admit cards will be uploaded on May 16

Date of entrance exam is June 1

Results will be declared on June 18

Entrance Examination for AIIMS -M.B.B.S. Admissions commencing on 1st August, 2010.

Eligibility Criteria-:
(i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
candidates) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or whose results of Class-XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2010 are eligible to apply.
(ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2010.

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs. 1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained in the following manner:

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

1. For MD / MS / M.Ch (6 years) / MDS Courses:

i) MBBS / BDS degree of a University recognised by the MCI / DCI.
ii) 55% aggregate marks in all MBBS / BDS professional examinations (50% in the case of candidates belonging to SCs / STs).
iii) Must have completed the required period of pre-registration internship for 12 months in a recognized hospital on or before 30 th January, 2009 .

Candidates who have already done / are pursuing MD / MS / MDS in any subject at the time of counseling are not eligible for MD / MS /MDS courses.


2. (A) For DM / M.Ch. Courses : A Candidate must possess a degree in MD/MS or DNB from a niversity recognized by the MCI for this purspose in the respective discipline as mentioned hereunder:
(a) M.D. in Medicine for D.M. in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology
(b) M.D. in Pathology for D.M. in Haemato-Pathology
(c) M.D. in Medicine/Paediatrics for D.M. in Medical Oncology
(d) M.D. in Radio-diagnosis for D.M. in Neuro-Radiology
(e) M.D. in Anaesthesiology for D.M. in Cardiac-Anaesthesiology and Neuro – Anaesthesiology
(f) M.D. in Paediatrics for D.M. in Neonatology and D.M. in Paediatric Neurology
(g) M.S. in General Surgery for M.Ch. courses of this Institute or any other University recognised by the MCI for this purpose.

Note: The candidates who are likely to complete 3 years requisite tensure and awarded degree by 30th January, 2009 may also apply. However, the candidates who complete their 3 years requisite tenure after 30th January, 2009 are not eligible to take-up this examination.

Upper Age Limit : For DM / M.Ch. Courses : 35 years as on 1st January, 2009 relaxable in case of SC/ST candidates by a maximum of 5 yrs. (There is no upper age limit for sponsored candidates).

3. For Master in Hospital Administration (M.H.A.): Eligibility : For medical graduates : MBBS or an equivalent degree with not less than 55% aggregate marks with 3 years experience in a recognised hospital or 5 years experience in general practice. For non-medical graduates (eligible for sponsored seat only) : (a) Bachelor’s degree of a recognised University in Arts of Science or Nursing or Business Administration or Commerce or Engineering or any technical subject with at least 60% marks (b) 7 years experience in a responsible administrative position.

4. For Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): A degree of M.Sc. or Master's degree in any subject allied to Medical Sciences or Master's degree in Nursing with at least 60% marks or MD / MS or an equivalent degree in any subject allied to Medical Sciences or Diploma of the National Board of Examinations or MBBS degree with not less than 55 % marks.

Note: The candidates who are likely to complete requisite qualification and awarded degree by 30th January, 2009 may also apply. However, the candidates who are completing their requisite qualification after 30th January, 2009 are not eliigble to take-up this examination.

IMPORTANT:
1. Candidates must obtain application forms ONLY from an authorised branch of S.B.I. or by post from Examination Section of AIIMS. Forms obtained from an unauthorized source will be rejected.

2. Candidates are advised to procure blank application forms as early as possible instead of waiting for the last date. If Application Forms are sold out before the last date of sale and the same are not available, AIIMS/ SBI or its specified branches will not be responsible for nay consequences that may arise due to non-availability of forms. If a candidate does not get the form through Post Office in time, AIIMS will not be responsible for such lapses.

Forms obtained from an unauthorized source will be rejected. (2) Candidates are advised to procure application forms as early as possible instead of waiting for the last date. If the Application Forms are sold out before the last date of sale and the same are not available, AIIMS/State Bank of India or its specified branches will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to non-availability of forms. In case a candidates does not get the form through Post Office in time, AIIMS will not be responsible for such lapses.

3. By post against Bank Draft from the Examination Section, AIIMS, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi: 09-01-2008 to 22-02-2008.
