The National Law institute University, Bhopal-NLIU invites applications for admission to the following courses 2011 :-

P.G. Diploma Regular Mode
1)One Year P.G Diploma in Environment : Law Science and Technology, Approved by U.G.C under innovative programme.
2) One year Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law, run by Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law (established by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi)
P.G. Diploma through Distance learning : One year Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law, run by Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law Centre, a Centre of Excellence in Cyber Law (established by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi). The minimum eligibility is two years L.L.M Degree with at least 55% of marks in the aggregate for Ph.D Programme and Graduate Degree from a recognized university for P.G Diploma Programme.
The prescribed Application form may be downloaded from our website www.nliu.ac.in or may be obtained from the office of the undersigned. Application Form Fee : Rs.1,500/- for Ph.D and 500/- for P.G. Diploma to be remitted through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, N.L.I.U Bhopal duly filled in application form must reach to the office of the undersigned latest by July 17, 2011 Procedure for Admission in Ph.D Programme is All India Written Test and Interview.

Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law is the first of its kind to impart legal and IP education within the IIT System bringing synergy among science, technology, management and law. The School offers Six-Semester, Three-Year Full-Time residential LL.B. Programme leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Law with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights with the requirements of the Bar Council of India.
Programme
Curricula of the Programme has been prepared based on the requirements of the Bar council of India. In addition several specialised courses in law and Intellectual Property Rights are offered
Eligibility for Admission to LL.B. Degree in Intellectual Property Rights
First Class Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine or equivalent.
OR
First Class Masters Degree in Science or Pharmacy.
OR
First Class MBA Degree with any of the above
Admission Procedure
Admission will be a two-step process:
All India written test for entrance to be conducted at Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. The institute reserves the right to cancel/reallocate any of the centres in case of insufficient number of qualifying candidates at a particular centre.
From the list of qualified candidates from the entrance test, the final selection of candidates will be made on the basis of GD/PI at Kharagpur and other centers as may be decided by the Institute from time to time.
Fees: Rs. 50,000/semester is the tuition fee. Application Forms (download)
The Application Form must accompany a draft of Rs.1000/- for General Category or Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PH Category drawn in favour of "IIT Kharagpur " payable at Kharagpur and may be sent to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), IIT Kharagpur, Pin 721302.

Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme by TIFAC
For Women Having Science Qualification
If you have hunger to deal with latest scientific and technological inventions, this advertisement may be for you. The Department of Science and Technology had launched a Scholarship scheme in the year 2002 for women having science qualifications for training in the area of intellectual property rights, especially in patent searches, understanding of patent specification and preparation of technology scan report. The scheme is continuing. Applications are invited from interested women having science qualifications for availing of Scholarships.
Long term Objectives :
1. Empower the talented and skilled women who have studied science, engineering and medicines to contribute effectively in the advancement of science and technology in the country.
2. Develop a pool of women in India ready to undertakes scientific and technical aspects of intellectual property rights.
Short term Objectives:
1. Train talented and skilled women who have studied science,engineering and medicines in patent searches and other aspects of intellectual property rights enabling them to seek specialized employment or be self employed.
2. Develop a core of professionals for preparing reports such as technology scan based on patent information.
3. Develop a pool of resource persons in intellectual property rights for conducting workshops on IPR.
Eligibility :
1. Candidates should be M.Sc.,/Ph.D in physical sciences, chemical sciences, life sciences or B.Tech or B.E./M.Tech or MBBS/MS/MD/MVSc/MPharma with good academic record. candidates with higher qualifications can also apply.
2. Candidates should have a good familiarity with computers in handling database, surfing the net and information searches.
3. Candidates with research experience,preparing project reports and experience of thesis writing will be preferred.
Age :
Candidates should not be more than 50 year of age and possess good health.
Scholarship:
The Scholarship will be admissible for a period of one year and the amount of Scholarship will be maximum of Rs.10,000 per month for candidates having M.Sc., or B.Tech or MBBS and maximum of Rs.15,000 per month for Ph.D/M.Tech/MPharma/MVSc and M.S./M.D
Centers :
During the period of scholarship candidates may be attached to specialized agencies dealing with intellectual property rights and attorneys firms. Placement of candidates after the training is not the responsibility of TIFAC
Selection Procedure :
Selection will be through a written test and interview. Short listed candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and appearing inn the merit list to be prepared by TIFAC will be called for the written test. A further shortlisting of the candidates will be done after the written test for the purpose of interview and such successful candidates will be informed.
