CSIR-UGC (NET) June 2014 Application Process

CSIR-UGC (NET) June 2014 examination Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lecturership which will be held on June 22nd 2014.

CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following areas: -

1. Chemical Sciences

2. Earth Sciences

3. Life Sciences

4. Mathematical Sciences

5. Physical Sciences

6. Engineering Sciences

7. Atmospheric Sciences

8. Ocean and Planetary Sciences


Eligibility : 4yr B.S./ B.E./ BTech/ BPharm/MBBS/ Integrated B.S.-M.S./Msc with atleast 55% marks (50% for Backward community)



CSIR-UGC (NET) June 2014 Online application form can be had from 10-02-2014.

Application Fees: Rs.400/- for General, Rs.200/- for OBC, Rs.100/- for SC/ST and handicapped.

CSIR-UGC (NET) June 2014 Online Application deadline is 04-03-2014.

Application form should reach Sr. Controller of Examination, Examination Unit, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Pusa, NewDelhi -110012 on or before 08-03-2014.

CSIR will hold Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) December 2013 in Chemical Sciences / Earth,Atmospheric,Ocean and Planetary Sciences / Life Sciences / Mathematical Sciences / Physical Sciences / Engineering Sciences on Sunday the 22nd December 2013.

Interested & eligible candidates may apply online through a link available at CSIR HRDG website www.csirhrdg.res.in from 30.07.2013 to 21.08.2013. In order to apply online the candidates are required to download Bank Challan Performa from the above website ant then deposit the requisite fee in any of the Indian Bank branches throughout the country, by following the instructions given on the challan performa.

The last date for receipt of duly completed hard copy of online submitted application form, with the required enclosure to the SR. Controller of Examinations, Examination Unit, HRDG, CSIR, Complex, Opp Institute of Hotel Management, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 is 27.08.2013 (02.09.2013 for remote areas)

Joint CSIR - UGC test for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for lectureship (NET), June 2011

CSIR will hold joint CSIR - UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for lectureship (NET) June, 2011 on Sunday the 19th June, 2011. The Application Form and Information Bulletin for this test will be available in the designated Branches of Indian Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce from 1st March, 2011 to 31st March, 2011 The candidate may apply either through Application Form available in the aforesaid Bank branches or ONLINE at the website www.csirhrdg.res.in between 1st March, 2011 to 30th March, 2011 The candidate applying online will be required to deposit the requisite examination fee through Bank challan in any of the Indian Bank branches throughout the country. Multiple application or fee submitted in any other mode will be summarily rejected. Information Bulletin detailed notification, Instructions for online application and Bank challan proforma are available on our website.

Opportunities for BTech/BE/MTech/ME/MS MSc graduates for Research Centre in Earth system and climate sciences

The Centre for Advanced training in earth system sciences and Climate (CAT - ESSC) of the Ministry of Earth Sciences hosted by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) is looking for scientist trainees with outstanding academic background. IITM is committed to develop world class research expertise for understanding and exploring unresolved scientific issues on climate science. The other institutions under the Ministry of Earth Sciences such as IMD, NCMRWF, INCOIS, NIOT, ICMAM, CMLRE and NCAOR also specialize in different areas of earth system sciences and technology. The main objective of CAT - ESSC is to generate a large pool of trained and dedicated earth and earth system scientists with in-depth hands-on expertise on individual physical processes of the land, ocean, atmosphere, biosphere and cryosphere with special emphasis on climate modeling. For the motivated candidates, the training will offer considerable scope to realize their full potential in this highly challenging field. The candidates recruited will be provided this induction training extending to 18 months and on successful completion they will be placed in any one of the Institutes of the Ministry of Earth Science as Scientists in suitable grades (Scientist B/C) based on their basic qualifications and performance. There is option for pursuing MTech or / and PhD Program before or after placement with facilities for career enhancement.

The candidates applying for the training should possess M.Sc/MS/MTech degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry, Oceanography, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Physics any areas of Earth Sciences or any equivalent disciplines, with Physics and Maths at the B.Sc level or B.Tehc / B.E / M.tech/ M.E in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electronics or electrical Engg with 60% or more marks at both the graduate and post graduate level. The candidates should be CSIR National Eligibility Test (NET) or the IIT-Graduate Admission Test in Engineering (GATE) qualified. Those who are appearing for the final exams for the qualifying degree or NET/GATE may also apply subject to the condition that they produce the final certificates if and when called for the interview. The applicants should be of Indian origin and the upper age limit is fixed as 28 years (30 for MTechs) as on 31st march, 2011 with relaxation as per eligibility.

The applications recd will be screened and the candidates to be called for the interview will be shortlisted based on their overall merit. The interviews will be held in Pune in July 2011, Candidates called for interview will be paid sleeper class train fare. The selected candidates inducted in the training program will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs.25,000/- per month. Hostel facilities will be available to the trainees. The no. of trainees in the first batch is tentatively fixed as Twenty. The training programme for the selected candidates is scheduled to start by early Aug, 2011.

Ph.D Programme in Reproductive Health

National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health Admission to Ph.D. Programme (2009 – 2010)

For ICMR-JRF and CSIR-UGC NET Examination Qualified Candidates

National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai, a premier institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research, conducts basic, clinical and operational research in different areas of reproductive health. The thrust areas of research include: Fertility Regulation, Infertility and Reproductive Disorders, Reproductive Tract Infections, Maternal and Child Health, Menopause, Genetic Disorders, Stem Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics, Reproductive Toxicology, Pharmacogenomics and Proteomics. Institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai for the award of Ph.D. degree in Applied Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences and Biotechnology.

Candidates who are interested in pursuing Ph.D. programme at this Institute may submit their application provided if they fulfill the following criteria.

Should have qualified in ICMR-JRF or CSIR/UGC NET examination and the fellowship certificate should be valid at the time of joining this Institute, in case selected.
Should have a M.Sc. degree in any area of Biological Sciences and should have scored 60% or more marks in the M.Sc. examination
Age not exceeding 28 years at the time of joining (upper age limit relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, physically handicapped (PH) and female candidates, 3 years in the case of OBC category.
Interested candidates may submit their application in the prescribed format through e-mail to mahales@nirrh.res.in before 31 st December 2009 . All the eligible candidates who fulfill the criteria mentioned above may appear for the interview, to be held on 12 th January 2010 from 10.00 am onwards. Please note that no TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
