Two Years “Advance Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology” recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra will be conducted at this Hospital commencing from 01.07.2010 Academic year 2010. This is a comprehensive course with full-time schedule of lectures, demonstrations, practical and clinical experience in the delivery of Radiation therapy. The course is designed to develop personnel to use modern Radiotherapy equipments like Cobalt Units, Linear Accelerators, Simulators, Brachytherapy systems and Mould-room facilities in cancer treatment.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA B.Sc. with 50% Marks aggregate (not less than 55% marks in Physics)

Selection will be based on the evaluation which comprises of performance in the interview and the marks obtained in qualifying examinations. Having mere basic qualifying marks will not fulfill the right for admission to this course.

Selected candidates from outside Mumbai may be provided with hostel accommodation, only if they are available during training period on payment as applicable. The same candidates will be allowed to avail cafeteria facility, the charges of which will be paid by the candidates as applicable. In addition, the candidates are required to keep Rs. 2000/- as diet deposit and Rs. 1000/- as library deposit, as per rules of the Centre.

Candidates who are found to consistently perform below established standards will be terminated from the Program after due process.

Certified Training in Oncology Tata Memorial Hospital

SIX MONTHS CERTIFIED TRAINING IN ONCOLOGY - 2010

Tata Memorial Centre invites applications from Postgraduate medical doctors for Certified Training in Oncology of six- months duration in 13 disciplines listed below. The training programs are meant for Beginner doctors who have no prior experience in Oncology OR Mid-career program for doctors and scientists who have taken the initiative to acquire new technical knowledge and hands-on experience with current best practices in oncology. The training program is a residential one. The training will be held in two batches during the year starting from 01st March-2010 to 31st August-2010 and 01st September-2010 to 28th February-2011.

Eligibility-:
Applicants should possess a MCI recognized post-graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty.
Applicants should be below 40 years of age for General candidates and below 45 years of age for Sponsored candidates as on 15.01.2010.
Maximum of 20 candidates will be selected in each six months training program batch. The number of training positions in various subjects may vary depending on their availabilities.
Persons working in the Govt./Semi Govt. Organizations or Autonomous bodies must send their applications through their institutional head.
Doctors working in hospitals affiliated to the national cancer control program or working in district hospitals are encouraged to apply.
Foreign Nationals please note. All foreign nationals are required to get a suitable Visa/Entry permit from Indian Embassy in their country and should register with the Medical Council of India, New Delhi before they are accepted into a training program. Candidates with Foreign Medical Degrees are advised to process their application well in advance. TMC can issue supporting documents to selected candidates.
Trainees who are not residents of Mumbai will be provided subsidized sharing accommodation at our resident hostels located at Chembur OR Payalipada. They will have to pay Rs.750/- per head / per month. and transportation charges will be Rs.250/-p.m. + subsidized diet (Rs.1800/- p.m.) during their training period. Trainees may apply for twin sharing AC rooms with common toilet facility at the rate of Rs.4500/- per head / per month. All accommodations are on first come basis and subject to availability.

National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai, a premier institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research, conducts basic, clinical and operational research in different areas of reproductive health. The thrust areas of research include: Fertility Regulation, Infertility and Reproductive Disorders, Reproductive Tract Infections, Maternal and Child Health, Menopause, Genetic Disorders, Stem Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics, Reproductive Toxicology, Pharmacogenomics and Proteomics. Age not exceeding 28 years at the time of joining (upper age limit relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, physically handicapped (PH) and female candidates, 3 years in the case of OBC category.

Eligibility-:
• Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine/Dentistry course should hold MBBS /BDS degree of recognized University by MCI/DCI.

• A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2010 can appear for PIMS-AICET-PG 2010

• All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.

• A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.

• Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2010.

• Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/ left the seat are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2010 .

• Candidates who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31.03.2010 will be eligible for PIMS-AICET-PG 2010 for admission to Medicine postgraduate degree in the same subject only.

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Medical Post
Graduate Super Speciality Courses, Kerala 2009 in the Medical Colleges at
Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kozhikode in the following Specialities.

Eligibility for Admission:

(a) Nativity
(i) The applicant should be an Indian citizen
(ii) Should have passed the Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/Dip. N.B) from any of the
Medical College recognized by the Medical Council of India
(iii)Should have done at least one year compulsory rural service/senior residency /
Government Service in any of the Government Medical Colleges/Government
Hospitals in Kerala.
(iv)In case sufficient number of candidates fulfilling the condition as per (iii) above is
not available, candidates who are otherwise qualified will also be considered, based
on the merit in the entrance test.
(v)Only candidates who have passed out from the Medical Colleges in Kerala will be first
considered for preparation of rank list. In case, sufficient number of candidates in
the above category is not available for admission for any reason, candidates from
other states will be considered for the balance seats, based on the merit in the
entrance test.
(b) Academic qualifications:
(i) M.B.B.S. Degree
(ii) Appropriate Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS) or appropriate Diploma of National
Board. The M.D./M.S. Degree should be obtained from any University in Kerala or from
Universities outside Kerala in which case they should be recognized as equivalent by
Universities in Kerala. Service candidates who have appeared or appearing for MD / MS
Examination can also apply. They should submit their P G Degree Certificate at the time of Counseling.
(iii) Registration: Candidates should have got their M B B S and P G Degrees registered permanently with State [T. C.] Medical Council and the proof should be submitted at the time of Counseling.
(iv) Age: Upper age limit for General Merit Candidates will be 45 years and it will be 47 years for Service Candidates, as on the last date of submission of Application
(13.06.2009).
Selection and Entrance Examination: Candidates desirous of being considered
against General seats will have to appear for the Entrance Examination to be
conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram.
All General Merit quota candidates shall have to qualify the Entrance Examination
conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala by securing minimum
of 50% marks. For Service candidates the eligibility will be as per the provisions of
Kerala Medical Officers Admission to Post Graduate Courses under service quota Act
2008.Accordingly the selection of service candidates will be based on the seniority in service and they do not have to appear for the Entrance Examinations. The Entrance
Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram on 27.06.2009 (Saturday) and
28.06.2009 (Sunday). It will consist of two Papers, each of one and half hours duration and the questions will be of objective type (Multiple Choice Questions). Appearance in Paper I and II of the Entrance Examination is compulsory for admission to the course.
Details regarding the courses, eligibility are given in the Prospectus issued by the
Director of Medical Education (DME).
Application forms: Prospectus and Application form will be available from
23.05.2009 onwards in the website “www.cee-kerala.org” (See Clause VII of the
Prospectus). The Application procedure is common for General and Service candidates.
Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the on line application form
provided in the website “www.cee-kerala.org” of the Commissioner for Entrance
Examinations and then remit the required fee at any SBT Branch. Candidates residing
outside Kerala state can remit the application fee by way of demand Draft drawn from
any nationalized bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application fee for General/Service candidates is Rs.1500/-. Service candidates who seek admission under General Quota also, should pay a total amount of Rs.3000/- [Please see Clause VII (a)]. Application forms will not be sold from the office of the CEE or office of the DME. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms: Candidates, seeking
admission should take a print out of the application form, affix passport size photograph duly attested by the candidates in the space provided, and forward their completed application with all the required documents, including original bank voucher, mentioned in clause VII (d) of the prospectus to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 001, either by Registered Post, by Speed Post or Hand Delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on 13.06.2009 [Saturday]. Applicants to Service quota seats should complete all the procedures mentioned in clause VII (a), (b) & (c). However, instead of forwarding the printout of the application form to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, the service quota candidates are required to forward the application along with copies of all required documents, to their Controlling Officer as stipulated in the Prospectus, on or before 13.06.2009. Service candidates seeking admission in General Merit quota will have to forward the application form both to the Controlling Officer and Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Late, defective and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.
Candidates will not be allowed, either to include any information in the application
form or to submit any certificates / documents claiming reservation or any benefits,
after the submission of the application, under any circumstances. Candidates must note that, they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of the application form itself, wherever specified. The certificates that are attached separately along with the application form will not be considered under any circumstances.
The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, prepare and publish the rank list of Candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to the
Director of Medical Education. The rank list will be made available in the website
“cee-kerala.org”.
The selection, admission and allotment of seats including those under Service Quota
will be made by the DME through a Centralized Allotment Process [CAP] and will be
based on various provisions laid down in the Prospectus, approved by the Government
of Kerala.
