ONLINE POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PARTICIPATORY MANAGEMENT OF DISPLACEMENT, RESETTLEMENT AND REHABILITATION ONLINE-PGDMRR

Applications are invited from students interested in completing Online P.G. Diploma in Participatory Management of Displacement Resettlement and Rehabilitation (PGDMRR) from January 2010.

FOLLOWING ARE THE FEATURES OF ONLINE PROGRAMME

• Walk in admission- Registration form has been specially devised with the facility of uploading scanned certificates, other required documents and photograph. Registration will be confirmed only after verification of the certificates and payment of the required admission fee. Facility for online payment is available through the payment gateway of AXIS Bank.
• Integrated multimedia courseware- once registered, learners will have access to personalized learning space (My Page). This includes self instructional material.
• Online counseling and mentoring – web cast based counseling integrated with text based chatting facility is used for counseling purposes.

• 24×7 learner support- asynchronous and synchronous modes of interaction will be
used to provide just in time support to learners. Portfolio based continuous evaluation- Evaluation will be done by giving theory and practical internal assessment examinations during each of the four contact sessions.
• Group based online seminar- Blogs, chat rooms and discussion forums and web conferencing facility are used for group based seminars. Online Project platform – templates will be made available.
• Online Term End Exams-Online examinations will be conducted in specified centres for in proctored environment.

The Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Participatory Management of Displacement, Resettlement and Rehabilitation (PGDMRR) is a proactive initiative of the World Bank and Indira Gandhi National Open University for building the skills of development practitioners in general and resettlement and rehabilitation officers, field staff, desk staff and technical experts in participatory methods of managing the concerns and issues of displacement and working for satisfactory resettlement and rehabilitation (R&R) of those displaced by development projects, in particular.

The programme is of use to those who are engaged generally in the development sector and particularly in R and R divisions of development projects of the government, private sector as project officers, technical experts, field staff or desk staff and those working with the NGOs, industrial establishments and other agencies involved in R and R of those displaced by development projects.

The objectives of the programme are to orient learners to
• Contextualize development caused displacement and rehabilitation
• Strategize participatory planning of resettlement and rehabilitation
• Appreciate the participatory implementation and monitoring of resettlement and rehabilitation
• understand theoretical perspectives in the study of R&R
• learn lessons from already executed development projects
• imbibe specialized knowledge on different phases of R&R process
• prepare an individual field work based Project work report that integrates the learning with specific activities of processes in a development project

IIIT Delhi B.Tech in IT 2009 Admissions Opens

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology,Delhi(IIITD) invited applications from the eligible candidates for admission into B.Tech in IT program 2009.

Eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test:

A candidate who has secured 80 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class XII from CBSE board or equivalent is eligible for appearing in the entrance test. (Those who have appeared in a Board whose results are not out by the last date of filling the form can apply if their AIEEE rank is less than or equal to 10000, provided they show their mark sheet of Class XII at the time of admission and must have obtained 80% in PCM). A candidate should also be less then 25 years of age on or before the first October 2009.

NOTE: No candidate without proof of 80% in PCM will be entertained for admission even if he/she qualifies the admission test

How to Apply:
Candidates seeking admission to IIIT-D will have to appear in the entrance test. Admission decision will be solely based on the merit in the entrance test, and all the seats will be filled through this test (that is, there is no “management quota”). The eligibility criterion on who can appear in the test is given below. Only students who satisfy the eligibility criteria are allowed to take the test and will be required to bring a attested copy of their marksheet at the entrance test.

Relaxation in eligibility conditions Marks for Reserved Categories:

Candidate belonging to the following categories, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a concession in the minimum eligibility requirement as detailed below:
• Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). A relaxation of 10 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements for the seats reserved for them.
• Children or Widows of Defence Personnel Killed/Disabled in Action (CW). A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
• Physically Handicapped (PH). A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
No. of Seats and Reservations
Final selection will be based exclusively on the merit list in the entrance test. However candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned above (for candidates who do not satisfy the eligibility criteria the results of entrance test will not be declared and their test copies of entrance test may not be evaluated).
The number of seats for the program starting in 2009 is 60, of which 85% are reserved for Delhi students (i.e. those students who have passed their class XII exam from a School/College/Institute located in Delhi), and 15% for outside Delhi students.

Application Procedure:

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the entrance test, can apply online (this is the only way to apply). They will have to print out their form, paste a recent passport size photograph, and send it with a draft for Rs 500 payable to “IIIT Delhi” as examination fee to at the following address (through speed post only). As the application form requires the bank draft no, a candidate must have the draft ready before filling the application form online.

CART 2009 Online Test PGPRM Programme

Retailers Association of India conducts the Common Admission Retail Test (CART) on a national basis for admission to the rai’s Postgraduate Program in Retail Management (PGPRM) offered in 17 institutes currently rai has tied up with. The objective of the test is to assess the candidate's aptitude for retail management education, including Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Consumer Comprehension.

rai's PGPRM is a post graduate programme specially designed for providing students with a thorough understanding of the finer points of retail management. rai's involvement in the program will be end-to-end, covering course content design, faculty support, internship and placement with 50 founder members.

The examination is conducted spread across India. Candidates applying for CART must hold a bachelors degree of any statutory university with minimum 50% marks. Students who are in their final year of bachelors degree education may also apply

Chinese Government Scholarship 2009 for Indian nationals

Applications are invited from Indian nationals, on plain paper, in the format given below, for the award of Chinese Government Scholarship tenable from September, 2009 for higher studies/research/specialized training in the subject fields of Chinese Language and Literature, Political Science, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Environmental Science, Fine Arts (Painting and Sculpture), Agronomy, Sericulture and Botany.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:-
(a) Qualifications:-

i) Chinese Language and Literature:- Two or three years basic grounding in Chinese language (i.e. a certificate/degree/Diploma from reputed/recognized institutions).

ii) Fine Arts (Painting & Sculpture):- Should have obtained Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

iii) Other subjects:- Should have obtained post-graduate degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in a related subject. The selected candidates will have to undergo Chinese Language study for one year prior to undertaking study in the areas of their choice.

(b) Age Limit:- 40 years or below as on 31.03.2009 (i.e. born on or after 31.03.1969).

(c) Value of Scholarship:- The Chinese Government pays a sum of Yuans 2000/- p.m to all senior advanced students, Yuans 1700/- p.m to ordinary graduate students and Yuans 1400/- p.m. to undergraduate students. In addition, Government of India is paying supplementary grant of Yuans 1170/- p.m. Government of China will also provide boarding, lodging, medical care and bear expenditure on tuition and other fees etc.

(d) Cost of passage:- Government of India will bear the International passage cost from India to China and back.

(e) Last date for submission of application:- Applications on plain paper (as per format given below) along with attested copies of all certificates/degrees/diplomas and mark sheet of qualifying degree should reach “The Section Officer, ES.3 Section, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, A.1/W.3 Curzon Road Barracks, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi-110001, latest by 31.3.2009 (5:30 P.M). 1. Applications are invited for the Entrance Examinations for admission to the following Degree Courses in various Professional Colleges in the State for 2009-2010.
(a) Medical

There is separate Entrance Examinations for admission to Engineering and Medical
Courses conducted by the CEE and the allotment will be based on the rank in these
Entrance Examinations. The CEE will not conduct any Entrance Examination for admission to B.Arch. course. However, candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should compulsorily appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA).

2. Eligibility for Admission:

(A) Nativity:

(i) Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be treated on par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission.

(ii) Both Keralites and Non-Keralites are eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination.
Applicants of Kerala origin will be categorized as ‘Keralites’. Others will be categorized as ‘Non-Keralites’.

(iii) A candidate will be considered as a ’Keralite’, for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission, if (a) he/she or his/her father/mother was born in Kerala OR (b) he/she has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR (c) he/she has undergone his/her school studies from Standards VIII to XII in educational institution(s) in Kerala. The candidate should obtain relevant certificates in the application form as prescribed in the Prospectus to avail such benefit.

(iv) Candidates who are children of All India Service (AIS) officers allotted to Kerala cadre, claiming Keralite Status, should produce a certificate from the competent authority showing that the parent of the candidate is an AIS officer allotted to Kerala cadre.

(v) Non-Keralites are classified as ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ and ‘Non-Keralite Category-II’.

(vi) ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ candidates are those who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and who are the sons/daughters of Employees of the Government of India, or, employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that, all categories of the employees mentioned above should have served in Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years, or, have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years. Such candidates will be eligible for admission to the Government seats under ‘State Merit’ only, for all the courses, which are filled on the basis of the rank in the Entrance Examination(s) or the rank list prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks in NATA and qualifying examination, as
applicable.

(vii) Candidates who do not belong to the ‘Keralite’ or ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ will be treated as ‘Non-Keralite Category-II'. They are eligible for admission ONLY to the ‘State Merit’ seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the State and in the Management Quota seats in Self-financing Engineering institutions sponsored by Government. Non-Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

(B) Academic Qualification :
(i) Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary Courses : Candidates should have passed the Higher
Secondary Examination or examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. Those who wish to take admission to MBBS/BDS courses should acquire 50% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (As per the guidelines issued by Medical Council of India).

Candidates seeking admission to BVSc. & AH course under the Kerala Agricultural University, in addition to the qualification prescribed above, should have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together (as per the regulation of Veterinary Council of India).

(ii) Eligibility of BSc. Degree holders: Those who apply based on their BSc. Degree, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS Courses, should have obtained their BSc. Degree with one of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Bio-Chemistry as Main, and any one or two of these subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and Subsidiaries taken together, provided they have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.

(iii) Engineering Courses: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/ Computer Science/Biology put together are eligible for admission. Candidates having Three year Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or equivalent, having 50% marks in the final Diploma examination, are also eligible for admission. However, these Diploma holders are not eligible for admission to the Engineering courses offered by Kerala Agricultural University.

(iv) Architecture Course : Candidates who have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with
Mathematics as a subject of examination, with 50% marks in aggregate / Candidates who
have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks / Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are eligible to apply. In addition, candidates will have to score 40% marks (80 marks out of 200) in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). Reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) candidates should also have obtained 40% marks in NATA, as per guidelines of Council of Architecture. (For details, visit www.nata.in).

(C) Relaxation in marks in the Qualifying Examination : For all courses, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to those candidates who belong to the communities listed under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and whose annual family income is up to Rs. 4.5 lakhs (Rupees Four Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only). SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. But candidates belonging to SEBC categories, seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses, need 45% marks in Biology and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in Medical Entrance Examination. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories need 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in the Entrance Examination for seeking admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.


(D) Candidates who have appeared/are appearing for Qualifying Examinations: Candidates who have not passed the qualifying examination but have appeared/are appearing for the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination or the three-year Engineering Diploma Examination of this academic year, will also be permitted to take the Entrance Examination(s) provisionally. But, such candidates should prove their academic eligibility on the date of admission. Candidates applying for Medical courses based on BSc. Degree, should have passed the Degree Examination at the time of submission of application.

(E) Age : The candidate should complete 17 years of age as on 31st
December, 2009.


3. Schedule for the Entrance Examinations :

The Entrance Examinations will be held at all the District Centres in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE), on the dates mentioned below as per Indian Standard Time (IST).

Engineering Entrance Examination (For Engineering courses except Architecture)

20.04.2009 Monday 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. Paper-I : Physics & Chemistry.
21.04.2009 Tuesday 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. Paper-II: Mathematics.

Medical Entrance Examination (For Medical, Agriculture and Veterinary Courses)

22.04.2009 Wednesday 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. Paper-I : Chemistry & Physics.
23.04.2009 Thursday 10.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. Paper-II: Biology.

Note: Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should also submit the Application form to the CEE. There is no State level Entrance Examination for this purpose. However such candidates should write the National Aptitude Test for Architecture and should forward the NATA score and mark list of the qualifying examination to the CEE on or before 12.06.2009.

4. Application Forms :

(a) ONLY ONE APPLICATION need be submitted for the entrance examinations for admission to one or more of Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Engineering
and Architecture Courses.

(b) SC/ST candidates should apply in light Pink application forms and all other candidates should apply in the General application form (Apple Green). Candidates under ‘Other Eligible Communities' (OEC) should apply in the General application form. Candidates who are children of Inter-Caste Married Couple, of which one is SC/ST, should apply in the form meant for SC/ST.

(c) Application Fee : General candidates - Rs.700/-
SC/ST candidates - Rs.350/-

Note:- Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates whose annual family income is below Rs.40,000/- can have Application Form free of cost from the specified branches of SBT and district offices of the Scheduled Tribes Development Department on production of
Community Certificate and Income Certificate. [As per G.O.(Rt)No. 80/09/H.Edn.,
dated: 21.01.2009]

(d) Application Distribution Centres : The Application form and Prospectus will be distributed from 10 am on 27.01.2009 to 26.02.2009 through selected branches of State Bank of Travancore in Kerala and outside the State. The amount towards the fee of application is to be remitted in cash at the distribution centre. The list of State Bank of Travancore branches, selected as sales centres, is appended separately. Application Forms will not be available by post or sold from the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

(e) Application form : All candidates will receive the application form, OMR Data Sheet, an envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the Prospectus. Candidates should ensure that the Application number printed in the
Application Form, OMR Data Sheet and on the cover are the same.

(f) Facility to Download the Application Form : Candidates who do not claim any reservation benefit can apply in the prescribed application form (which can be downloaded from the website ‘www.cee-kerala.org’). The application fee of Rs.700/- can be remitted in any branch of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) using the chalan provided along with the downloaded application form. The original chalan should be attached with the application form duly signed and authorised by the authorities of SBT. Those candidates who reside outside the State and do not claim any reservation benefit can apply in the downloaded form along with a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- drawn on a Nationalised Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

(g) Candidates opting DUBAI (UAE) as the Centre for Entrance Examination : Candidates, who choose ‘DUBAI’ as their centre for the Entrance Examinations, should submit along with their filled in application form, a Demand Draft for Rs.8,500/- (Rupees Eight Thousand Five Hundred only), drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the 'Commissioner for Entrance Examinations' payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Those applying in downloaded forms should enclose Demand Drafts for Rs.700/- as Application fee and Rs.8,500/- as centre fee. The candidates opting Dubai centre should note that the examinations are conducted as per Indian Standard Time (IST).

5. Last date and time for receipt of filled in Application Forms :

The filled in Application Form along with the OMR DATA SHEET and other relevant documents, to be submitted with the Application Form, is to be sent in the printed envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations supplied along with the application form, so as to reach him before 5 p.m. on 26.02.2009 (Thursday), by Hand Delivery/Registered Post /Speed Post. Completed Applications will be received in the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on holidays also.

6. Belated Applications : Belated applications will be rejected. Candidates are therefore
advised to apply well in advance. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.

7. Candidates will not be allowed to include any information in the application form or to submit any Certificates/Documents claiming reservation or any other benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances. Requests in this regard will not be entertained by the Office of the Commissioner.

8. Certificates that are to be obtained in the body of the Application should be obtained in the body of the Application form itself.

9. Incomplete or defective applications will be summarily REJECTED and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

10. The Entrance Examinations and the subsequent allotments will be based on the various provisions laid down in the Prospectus approved by the Government. Prospectus for the KEAM Entrance Examinations 2009 is available in the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at “www.cee-kerala.org”. Carefully fill in all the relevant fields of the blank application form which include the draft details.
The password entered in the password field should be carefully preserved by you. You shall need it for subsequent steps.

Candidates possessing valid GATE (CS/IT) score of more than 75 percentile are exempt from entrance test. However they will have to apply on-line and pay the application fee mentioned in the How to Apply section and appear for the interview. They may at their option appear for entrance test as well. In such case the score of the entrance test shall supersede the GATE score for the purpose of evaluation and the GATE score shall not be considered.

Interview:
Based on the performance in the entrance test, the interview of the short-listed candidates will be conducted on the same day and may continue for the next day if necessary.

Final Selection:
The final selection shall be based on the candidates’ performance in the following:

Performance in the Entrance Test/ GATE score (The absolute percentage of marks secured in the GATE shall be considered).
Performance in the interview.
Career Marks.

MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 Application procedure

Common Entrance Test - MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009

Admission to first year of two year full time Post Graduate Degree courses in Management namely Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Master of Management Studies (MMS)/ Post Graduate Diploma Course in Business Management (PGDBM) and Post Graduate Diploma Course in Management (PGDM) for the year 2009-2010

Eligibility: Basic Qualification: In order to secure admission to first year of two-year full time MBA/MMS/ PGDBM/PGDM course, the candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate( 40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities OR appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate(40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only). OR passed with any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities AND passed in any Post Graduate degree course of minimum two years duration recognized by the Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with minimum 45% marks in aggregate( 40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) OR passed with any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities AND Appeared** for the final year examination of any Post Graduate degree of minimum two years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. 1. Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification

2. Scored 30 or more marks in the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 and appeared for the GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority of the Maharashtra State for the academic year 2009-2010.

Eligibility Criteria for admission against All India Seats:

1. Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification

2. Appeared for CAT(conducted by IIMs)/JMET(conducted by IITs)/ MAT(conducted by AIMA in February 2009)/ ATMA(conducted by AIMS)/ XAT(conducted by XLRI) for seeking admission to MBA/MMS in the academic year 2009-10. Such candidates# are required to appear for GD &PI conducted by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra State for academic year 2009-10.

For Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates:

1. Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification

2. Appeared for CAT(conducted by IIMs)/JMET(conducted by IITs)/ MAT(conducted by AIMA in February 2009)/ ATMA(conducted by AIMS)/ XAT(conducted by XLRI) for seeking admission to MBA/MMS in the academic year 2009-10. Such candidates# are required to appear for GD &PI conducted by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra State for academic year 2009-10. OR

Appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS -CET 2009), GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority of the Maharashtra State for the academic year 2009-2010.

Note:

To become eligible for admission the candidate should score 30 or more marks in MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 OR equivalent score of 30 marks or more in the All India CET (CAT/JMET/ATMA/XAT/MAT(conducted in February 2009))

MS & OMS Candidates who have appeared for CAT/ JMET/MAT (conducted in February 2009)/ ATMA/XAT and seeking admission to MBA/MMS course against All India Seats coming under CAP must fill in & confirm the application form for the CET i.e. MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2009 as per the procedure outlined in Annexure-I. Only such candidates will be permitted to appear for the GD & PI conducted by Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra and will be eligible to participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Eligibility Criteria for admission to J & K migrant candidates:

1. Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification AND

2. Scored 30 or more marks in the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 and appeared for the GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority of the Maharashtra State for the academic year 2009-2010.

Eligibility Criteria for admissions against seats for NRI/Foreign National/ Foreign Student/ PIO/ Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries:

1. Basic educational qualification

2. Appeared for GMAT (conducted by GMAC, USA)/CAT (conducted by IIMs)/JMET (conducted by IITs)/MAT(conducted by AIMA conducted in February 2009) / ATMA(conducted by AIMS)/XAT (conducted by XLRI) for seeking admission to MBA/MMS for the academic year 2009-10. Such candidates are required to appear for the GD &PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes OR appeared for CET conducted by the agency (including Association of all colleges of a particular type in the State) approved by Pravesh Niyantran Samiti, Bandra (E), Mumbai-51 for the academic year 2009-10. Such candidates are required to appear for the GD &PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes OR appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009), GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority of the Maharashtra State for the academic year 2009-2010.

Application procedure: Information Brochure along with “MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 Kit” for the aspiring candidates will be available at the identified post offices in selected cities in India as mentioned in the Notification and website, against the payment of the application processing fees.

• It is mandatory for the candidates to procure the information brochure along with “MAHMBA/ MMS-CET 2009 Kit” from the identified post offices.

• The application form processing fees is Rs. 1150/- for Maharashtra State (General Category) candidates, All India and J&K Migrant candidates whereas Rs. 950/- for reserved category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State (i.e. Candidates having relevant backward class Caste Certificate and other applicable certificates issued by Maharashtra State authorities). This fee is to be paid in cash at the identified post offices during the contact hours of the respective post offices.

This fee is non refundable and non transferable under any circumstances.

• J & K Migrant candidates aspiring to apply for All India seats will have to pay Rs. 2300/- as total fees and procure two Kits from the post office. Such candidates are required to submit only one application form as J&K Migrant Candidate and will be required to select the choice as interested to apply for All India seat.

• All India candidates who have appeared for CAT/ MAT(Conducted in February 2009)/JMET/XAT/ATMA and wish to appear only for the GD & PI conducted by Competent Authority are also required to procure the Information Brochure.

Candidates will receive Receipt of Payment of fees from Post Office titled as “candidate’s copy”. Candidates are required to produce the receipt of the payment of fees at the time of confirmation of submission of CAP application form for admission (during stage-VIII) at the ARC and therefore the candidates are instructed to carefully preserve the receipts of the payment for further use.

• All the information printed in the brochure will also be available on the website for browsing, downloading and printing.

• MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2009 Kit contains the Application ID, Password, important instructions for the submission of online application form. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before submitting the application form.

–Registration for CET

• The candidate is required to read the information brochure carefully.

• Aspiring candidates are required to register their name online on the website for “MAH-MBA/MMSCET 2009 for which the Application ID and password supplied in the Kit shall be required.

• The instructions to the candidates are provided in the Kit.

• The candidate is required to submit online application through Internet at home, cybercafé or at the designated facilitation center.

• Candidates are required to pay Rs.50/- in cash separately as facilitation charges at the facilitation center if the facilities are used.

• Candidates will have to fill up the personal details, qualification details and options for CET Centers and GD & PI Centers.

• The candidate is required to paste the recent Photo and put signature on the space provided on the sheet. This sheet is provided in the kit. The sheet is to be scanned and uploaded on the website as per given guidelines.

• The candidate has to verify the correctness of the information filled. In case of any correction , the candidate can do it online before confirmation.

• The candidate has to confirm the Registration as per guidelines given in Kit.

• Candidate will not be able to change the information after the confirmation of registration.

• The Online system shall generate the Hall Ticket for CET bearing Name of candidate, the Photo and Signature of the Candidate, CET Center &Venue and such other details.

• All India candidates who wish to apply for admission through CAP only on the basis of score of CAT/MAT(Conducted in February 2009)/JMET/ XAT/ATMA against All India seats will have to compulsorily register for CET. However the Hall Ticket for CET shall not be issued to such candidates. Such candidates can take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

LATE SUBMISSION & CONFIRMATION of ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

AIEEE 2009 on 26th April, 2009

The eighth All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions in B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch./B. Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01,1984 are eligible. However in case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Challenged candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by five years meaning thereby candidates born on or after October 01,1979 are eligible.

In addition to the cost of Information Bulletin, the designated branches of Syndicate Bank or designated institutions would charge Rs. 5/- extra as service/Processing charges. The Information Bulletin containing Application Form can also be obtained by post by sending a MICR bank Draft of Rs. 500/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 275/- for SC/ST Category (Which includes Rs. 50/- towards postal charges) along with a self-addressed envelope of the size of 12” x10” without postage stamps) from the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS-1-2, Institutional Area, I.P. Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110092. The payment is to be made through Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, CBSE, Payable at Delhi/New Delhi. The candidate should write his/her Name and Address on the back of the Demand Draft/Pay Order. Evaluation and Declaration of AIEEE 2009 Results
On the basis of performance in AIEEE, separate rank lists will be prepared for B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning. Score Card indicating All India Rank with total marks and marks in each subject shall be sent to all candidates appearing in AIEEE.

Candidates scoring above a certain cut off percentage of marks (being different for General and SC/ST/PH category candidates) to be called for counselling shall be determined at the time of declaration of AIEEE results. All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination -2009 (aipmt) by CBSE

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination -2009 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal or other local authorities in India except in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir:-

1. Preliminary Examination - 5th April, 2009 (Sunday)
2. Final Examination - 10th May, 2009 (Sunday)


Eligibility Criteria:
(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

(iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-
Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

(iv) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Those who are taking plus two examination in 2009 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

(v) 15% seats for SC candidates and 7.5% seats for ST candidates are reserved in 15% All India Quota for MBBS/BDS courses. The reservation will be made as per the 2200 point reservation roster.

Further, in pursuance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated 10-04-2008 and according to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development vide O.M No.1-1-2005-UIA/847 dated 20-04-2008 it has been decided to implement OBC reservation in phased manner on the pro-rata basis in respect of seats being contributed to the All India Quota by the Central Education Institutions only.

A candidate can apply for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination in any of the following two ways:-

Candidates are required to take a print of the Online Application after successful submission of data. The print out of the computer generated application, complete in all respect as applicable for Offline submission should be sent to the Deputy Secretary (AIPMT), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110 301 by Speed Post/Registered Post only. The request must reach the Deputy Secretary (AIPMT), CBSE, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110 301 on or before 21-11-2008. Request received thereafter will not be entertained. The request should be super scribed as “Request for Information Bulletin and Application Form for AIPMT, 2009”.
