IIM Lucknow Certificate Programme in General Management for Executives (CPGME) is a one year part-time programme with Four On-Campus Modules of 9 days each, for working executives to prepare them for advanced career in management. This Management Development Programme has been meticulously designed to inculcate strong conceptual frameworks in Business and Management Skills, Communication Skills, Financial Management, Accounts, Human Resource Management, Quantitative Methods, Operations Management etc.

CPGME will integrate Advanced Management Theory, Soft Skills and Quantitative Methods with real world business practices. It has 240 hours of teaching in Four “On Campus Modules” of 9 days each.

Eligibility : Bachelor’s or Post Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks (or CGPA of 5 on a 10 point scale) or CA/ICWA/CS and a minimum of 5 years full-time post qualification professional experience.

General Astronomy Course by MPBIFR

M. P. Birla Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore is going to conduct a "General Astronomy" course for the general public from January 19 to February 4, 2015 in the eveing.

The medium of instruction will be in English.

The syllabus for this course is framed to cover the basics involved in understanding the astronomical concepts like identification of constellations, measurement of brightness and distances of stars, types of stars, celestial coordinates, optical telescopes, Astrobiology, etc. It also includes an exposure to the observational techniques and the usage of astronomical telescopes.

Students will be given an exposure to skywatch during the period of the course. Star watching sessions will be conducted after the classes, subject to clear sky conditions. After completing the course, certificates will be awarded to the participants.

Interested students can download the application from the internet, fill it and send it by post to the address mentioned below along with a local cheque / DD drawn in favour of "M. P. Birla Institute of Fundamental Research" (payable at Bangalore). Fee structure includes registration and admission fee.

Delhi Technological University (DTU), Department of Delhi School of Management. invites applications for its Diploma/ Certificate programme in Management.

Diploma in Management program will have five subjects (three core and two electives) and a Project. Students undertaking few subjects i.e. not completing the requirements of Diploma in Management shall be awarded with Certificate in Management mentioning
the subjects undertaken by them.

Eligibility: For UG students after IInd Semester and for PG students after Ist Semester. Ex students are not eligible.Classes Schedule:Classes will be held at DSM, DTU from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on all working days and Saturdays/ Sundays, if required.

IGNOU Power Distribution Management Course 2012

IGNOU Advanced Certificate in Power Distribution Management (ACPDM) in collaboration with the Ministry of Power, USAID-India and the Power Finance Corporation under the Distribution Reform Upgrades and Management (DRUM) project.

The advanced certificate programme is meant for professionals employed in electrical power utilities or the electricity sector to upgrade their skills, enhance systematic efficiency and deliver quality power to the satisfaction of the beneficiaries.

The eligibility criteria for the programme is engineering graduates, engineering diploma, graduates or equivalent with two years experience in electricity sector.

The last date to apply for this programme is July 30, 2012 without late fee and August 14, 2012 with late fee of Rs.200. Student handbook and prospectus is available in all the regional centers of the university as well as in the university’s headquarters which can be purchased for Rs.100 and submitted along with the requisite fee in the form of a demand draft to the concerned regional centre.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started its admission process for two special courses in water harvesting.

Diploma in Watershed Management (DWM) and Certificate in Water Harvesting and Management (CWHM) for July 2012 session.

The programmes are meant for learners interested in basic knowledge and skills for water harvesting, conservation and utilization. It also includes basic aspects of agriculture like soil erosion and its management; integrated farming systems like crop husbandry, animal husbandry, agroforestry, fish farming etc. They intend to address the workforce requirement and focus on upgrading the knowledge and skills of existing personnel.

The eligibility requirement for the diploma programme is 10+2 pass or the learner should have completed the Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU while for the certificate programme the learner should be 10th pass. Tata Memorial Centre invites applications from Postgraduate medical doctors for Certified Training in Oncology of six- months duration in 13 disciplines listed below. The training programs are meant for Beginner doctors who have no prior experience in Oncology OR Mid-career program for doctors and scientists who have taken the initiative to acquire new technical knowledge and hands-on experience with current best practices in oncology. The training program is a residential one. The training will be held in two batches during the year starting from 01st March-2010 to 31st August-2010 and 01st September-2010 to 28th February-2011.

Eligibility-:
Applicants should possess a MCI recognized post-graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty.
Applicants should be below 40 years of age for General candidates and below 45 years of age for Sponsored candidates as on 15.01.2010.
Maximum of 20 candidates will be selected in each six months training program batch. The number of training positions in various subjects may vary depending on their availabilities.
Persons working in the Govt./Semi Govt. Organizations or Autonomous bodies must send their applications through their institutional head.
Doctors working in hospitals affiliated to the national cancer control program or working in district hospitals are encouraged to apply.
Foreign Nationals please note. All foreign nationals are required to get a suitable Visa/Entry permit from Indian Embassy in their country and should register with the Medical Council of India, New Delhi before they are accepted into a training program. Candidates with Foreign Medical Degrees are advised to process their application well in advance. TMC can issue supporting documents to selected candidates.
Trainees who are not residents of Mumbai will be provided subsidized sharing accommodation at our resident hostels located at Chembur OR Payalipada. They will have to pay Rs.750/- per head / per month. and transportation charges will be Rs.250/-p.m. + subsidized diet (Rs.1800/- p.m.) during their training period. Trainees may apply for twin sharing AC rooms with common toilet facility at the rate of Rs.4500/- per head / per month. All accommodations are on first come basis and subject to availability.
