Applications are invited from resident Indian nationals for admission to MBBS course for the year 2011 July session through entrance examination

Eligibility:
Essential: Applicant must be a resident Indian national; should have studied and completed his/her course in the schools located in India in the preceding two years

Applicants should have been born on or before 01st January, 1995

Educational: Applicant should have passed higher/senior secondary examination (10+2) with minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and a pass in English for UR and 45% for UR-OPH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC

Entrance examination: JIPMER uses paper-based test administration (MCQ) for merit listing the candidates for the above admission

Candidate has to appear for entrance examination to be conducted by JIPMER in 12 centres around the country on 05th June, 2011, 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications: 25th April, 2011, 4.30 p.m.

Entrance examination: 05th June, 2011, 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

The Super-specialty Entrance Test (SET) for admission to various D.M. and M.Ch. courses will be held on Saturday the 4th June, 2011 and Sunday the 5th June, 2011 at Delhi.

The application form along with Bulletin of Information may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi - 110 007, against a crossed M.I.C.R Bank Draft/Banker's Cheque only drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of the "Registrar, University of Delhi" payable at Delhi in the following manner :-

1) By hand For Rs.2000/- (Rs. Two thousand only) between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on all working days from 1st Mar, 2011 to 18th April, 2011
2) By post Rs.2,050/- (Rs.Two Thousand and fifty only) along with a self addressed envelope of 10" x 8" upto 4th April, 2011. No cash payment will be accepted.

RESERVATION : The reservation of seats in different colleges under various categories will be as per the policy of the Government of Orissa. Candidates can also apply for Application Form by post on payment of A/C payee Demand Draft for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of "OJEE-2011" on any nationalized bank payable at Bhubaneswar along with a stamped (Rs.75/-) 30 cm x 25 cm Size cloth lined self addressed envelope from the Office of the Chairman, OJEE-2011, JEE Cell, Gandamunda, P.O.: Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar - 751030.

Old question papers of JEE-2010 for Rs.10/- per booklet will be on sale from the following branches of Syndicate Bank only subject to availability: Angul, Balasore, Baripada, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar (Kalpana Square, Nayapalli, Vanivihar), Cuttack (Choudhury Bazar), Rourkela, Sambalpur and all branches of State Bank of India as mentioned above.

The candidates seeking admission to M.Tech/M.Pharm/M.Arch should fill his/her application only through online process by logging on to www.odishajee.com. There will be no information brochure selling either from banks or GPO for PGAT.
The completed application form is to be submitted to the Banks/Post Offices from where it is purchased or to be sent by registered/speed post/registered courier service to the address given below.

AIPMT 2011 Application Process

All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2011 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education,CBSE Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the States of ANDHRAPRADESH and JAMMU & KASHMIR


Schedule of AIPMT 2011

1. Preliminary Examination-3rd April,2011 (Sunday)
2. Final Examination -15th May, 2011 (Sunday)


PATTERN OF EXAMINATION of AIPMT 2011

Both Preliminary and Final Examination would be Objective type.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA of AIPMT 2011

(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31 * December of the year of his/her admission to the 1" yearM.B.B.S./B.D.S. course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31* December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

(iii) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio- technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.

Those who are taking plus two examination in 2011 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.


RESERVATION OF SEATS of AIPMT 2011

15% seats for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 27% seats for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Institutions only and 3% seats on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates are reserved in 15% All India Quota for MBBS/BDS courses.


HOW TO APPLY for AIPMT 2011

(i) Online application procedure for AIPMT 2011
Online submission of application maybe made by accessing the Board's website www.aipmt.nic.in from 15.11.2010 (10.00 A.M.) to 31.12.2010 (5.00 P.M.). Instructions for sending online application, payment of fee and computer generated printout are available on website. Candidates submitting on-line application have been given exemption of Rs. 100/- in the examination fee irrespective of their category.

Accordingly, fee of Rs. 700/- for General/OBC Category Candidates and Rs. 350/- for SC/ST Category Candidates may be remitted in the following ways:
1. By Credit Card, or
2. Through Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi.

(ii) Offline application procedure for AIPMT 2011
Offline submission of Application may be made on the prescribed Application Form. The Information Bulletin and Application Form costing Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.450/- for SC/ST category can be obtained against Cash Payment from the designated branches of Canara Bank/Regional Offices of the CBSE between 13.12.2010 to 31.12.2010.

Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by Post from the Board by sending a written request with a Demand Draft for Rs.850/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self Addressed Envelope of size 12" x 10". The request must reach to the Board on or before 24.12.2010. The request should be superscribed as "Request for Information Bulletin and Application Form for AIPMT-2011".

The important decision,taken by the Medical Council of India-MCI and accepted by the Union ministry of health,was conveyed to the Supreme Court on Friday,bringing huge relief to lakhs of aspiring doctors.

The new common medical entrance test would be applicable for a total number of 30,000 MBBS seats and over 11,000 MD seats in 138 government run medical colleges as well as 133 private medical institutes.

Earlier students wanting to take up courses in medicine had to appear in at least five to six entrance tests for various colleges and worry about problems like a clash of exam dates as well as travel to distant places for counselling for allotment of seats
