NEET 2017: 69 Medical Colleges cannot give MBBS Admission

With medical admission under National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) 2017 are undergoing, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has recently released a notice where it has listed out named of colleges that have been debarred from giving Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) admissions to students.

It has come to the notice of Medical Council of India that certain unscrupulous elements are misleading students by alluring them that they would get them admitted in MBBS course in Medical Colleges. In this regard, it is brought to the notice of all concerned that admissions for MBBS in all Medical Colleges falling within the purview of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 for the academic year 2017-18 has to be through the common counseling."

Further, the counseling would be conducted by the following authorities only:

The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for 15 per cent All India Quota seats in government medical colleges of the contributing states and for All MBBS seats in medical colleges run by deemed universities

The Designated Authority of the State/ Union Territory Government in respect of MBBS seats in government medical colleges and non-governmental medical colleges

Moreover, by way of this advisory all candidates interested in taking admission in medical colleges should check the status regarding grant of permission by the Central Government to the colleges from the website of Medical Council of India (https://www.mciindia.org/) and only after verifying the status of the permission should proceed to take admission, the official notice read.

According to MCI, all the candidates can check the list of medical colleges that have not been granted permission by the Medical Council of India/Central Government for admitting students in MBBS for academic year 2017-18 and 2018 -19

NEET UG 2017 Application Process

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notification of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) 2017.

The candidates are required to fill the application online, before filling up the online application form.

Here are some instructions for completing the online application form:

The candidate, before submitting the application form online, shall satisfy his/her eligibility to appear in the test

The candidate should fill his/her complete postal address with the pin code and e-mail address (own or parents only) for future correspondence

Candidate must ensure mobile numbers, email -ID filled in the online application form as board will make communication by them

Provide code number against the column provided for qualifying examination passed

The application form other than online mode would not be accepted, in any case

The candidates are not required to send the confirmation page of his/her online application form to the board

Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K are required to submit online self declaration

Request for change in any particulars in the online application shall not be entertained under any circumstances

Incomplete applications shall be rejected

Candidates must submit only one application form. If a candidate submits more than one application form, his/her candidature will be cancelled

The candidates must keep in mind that any online transaction password generated on the NEET website while registering/submitting the form will be valid for 15 minutes. After the lapse of this period, candidates need to click on the link, 'Resend' OTP to generate new OTP.

Schedule for on-line submission of application: January 31 to March 1

Last date for successful final transaction of fee: March 1

Date of uploading of admit cards on website: April 15

Date of examination: May 7

Declaration of result: June 8

AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam 2016

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the examination dates for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme for the session 2016. The entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 29, 2016.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:
The candidates should have completed class 12 from a recognised board or institute.

Age limit:
The minimum age of the candidates should be 17 years.

Application fee:
The general/OBC and SC/ST candidates are required to make the payment of Rs 1,000 and Rs 800 respectively.

How to apply:
The eligible candidates should apply online, at aiimsexams.org

Paper pattern:

The exam will be held for a duration of three and a half hours. The test will have 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge. The candidates must note that negative marking is applicable.

Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct an All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in the academic session 2014-15 for the 15% seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges all over India except in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and also for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges voluntarily Participating in the test on Sunday, the 04th May, 2014 in selected cities across the Country and Abroad.

NEET-UG 2013 Simplified Information

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi is the conducting body for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). CBSE will conduct the NEET-UG exam for Undergraduate Medical / Dental courses admissions.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate Medical / Dental courses like MBBS/BDS admissions across the country. In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum marks in ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test' held for the said academic year besides obtaining minimum prescribed marks at the qualifying examination.

All admissions to MBBS/BDS courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

The NEET (UG) Entrance Examination shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).

The duration of paper would be 3 hours.

Eligibility:
Essential: Applicant must be a resident Indian national; should have studied and completed his/her course in the schools located in India in the preceding two years

Manipal College of Medical Sciences (MCOMS) MBBS admissions 2009

MCOMS has announced the opening of admissions to their MBBS degree, for the academic year commencing February 2009. To be eligible for this programme, a minimum aggregate of 50% at the 10+2 or equivalent examination is required. The candidate should be above 17 years of age. There is no entrance Examination for non-Nepalese students.

Manipal College of Medical Sciences (MCOMS), Nepal, established in 1994 is a result of collaboration between Manipal Group and the Government of Nepal. Affiliated to the Kathmandu University, MCOMS is recognized across the world, for its high standards of excellence. MBBS COURSE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-2010

Applications are invited on prescribed form for admission to MBBS course starting from 1st July 2009. The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination to be held on 19Th April 2009 at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Those students who are going to appear in 10+2 Higher Secondary Board Examination in March/ April 2009 are also eligible to appear in the competitive Entrance Examination.

IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, THE PAPER OF PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY WILL HAVE MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS, WHILE THAT ON GANDHIAN THOUGHT WILL BE OF ESSAY AND/ OR SHORT ANSWER TYPE.

The Prospectus and Application Form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 5 years, with model question papers of Physics, Chemistry and Biology can be had from the office of the Dean by remitting a sum of Rs.1050/- (Rs.1000+Rs.50/- as postal charges) only by Money Order in favour of the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram District-442102 or by paying Rs.1000/- in cash at the college counter. Candidates must write their full address in capital letters and phone number on the “Space for Communication and the space for sender’s address on the money order form.

The Prospectus and form will be available from 1st December 2008. The last date of receipt of filled up application with Entrance Examination fee of Rs.1500/- is 27th February, 2009 and with an additional late fee of Rs.100/- is 12th March, 2009.

ELIGIBILITY:
The candidates must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The Candidate must have a passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra state Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination non nay recognized Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in one and the same attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ST/VJ/NT/OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The Admission is subject to any direction given by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, Hon’ble High Court of Bombay Bench, Nagpur, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and the Medical Council of India.

CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

Nationality:
Candidates must be Citizens of India / children or dependents of Non Resident Indians.

Academic:
1) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least Fifty percent marks in Biology separately and Fifty percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade. SC/ST candidates shall be eligible for statutory relaxation in minimum marks.
The norms of eligibility prescribed by the MCI and the respective Universities will also be applicable.

2) Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.

3) Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from authorities other than the State of Kerala shall produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of the qualifying examination from the University in Kerala with which the concerned college to which admission is sought for is affiliated.

4) The candidate must be in the Medical rank list prepared by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala, on the basis of the CET-2008.

Age:
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2008. No relaxation of age will be allowed.

How To Apply
The Common Prospectus along with application form can be obtained from any of the four member medical colleges on payment of Rs. 500/- ( Rupees five hundred only) by Demand Draft drawn in favour of the ‘Kerala Christian Professional College Managements’ Federation’ (KCPCMF) payable at Ernakulam. The Application shall be submitted as detailed below:

* Completed application should be submitted to any one of the Colleges and not to the Office of the Federation. This should be submitted on or before 11th July 2008, 5.00 p.m.

* Applications can either be submitted on the forms available with the prospectus.

Application forms can be downloaded from the website of the Federation: www.kcpcmf.org. Such applications have to be submitted along with a DD of Rs. 500/- in favour of the ‘Kerala Christian Professional College Managements’ Federation’ (KCPCMF) payable at Ernakulam.
