AIPGMEE 2014 Application Process


AIPGMEE 2014 Application Process

National Board of Examinations will conduct All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) for admission All India 50% quota of MD/MS/PG Diploma courses 2014 session offered at Government Medical Colleges /Institutions except states of Andhra Pradesh and J&K.

The AIPGMEE shall be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from November 25th 2013 to December 6th 2013.

The State Governments of Haryana, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and University of Delhi shall utilize the results of AIPGMEE 2014 for admission to MD/MS/ PG Diploma courses at colleges under their control. These states shall not be conducting any state entrance examination of their own.

Admission to MD/MS/ PG Diploma courses at institutes under Armed Forces Medical Services shall also be made on the basis of results of AIPGMEE 2014.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree/ Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from an Institute (except colleges/ universities located in Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh) recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or likely to complete on or before 31st March 2014.

For Admission to postgraduate course in Medicine (MD/MS/Diploma) & Dentistry (MDS) for Academic year 2010-11

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for All India Common Entrance Test for selection of candidates for admission to Postgraduate Courses in Medicine (MD/MS/DIPLOMA) & Dentistry (MDS) for the academic year 2010-11 in the constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University).

Date and Time of Entrance Test Examination Saturday – January 9th, 2010 from 3.00 PM to 6.00 PM

Eligibility-:
• Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine/Dentistry course should hold MBBS /BDS degree of recognized University by MCI/DCI.

• A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2010 can appear for PIMS-AICET-PG 2010

• All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.

• A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.

• Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2010.

• Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/ left the seat are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2010 .

• Candidates who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31.03.2010 will be eligible for PIMS-AICET-PG 2010 for admission to Medicine postgraduate degree in the same subject only.

Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination and also have valid GATE/NET qualification. Percentage of marks or CGPA shall be calculated taking the aggregate scored by the candidate in all years or as per the norms of the concerned university/Institute. 5% of total number of seats are available for officially sponsored candidates from the Govt. Department /P.S.U./R&D organisation with minimum of 2 years experience. Valid GATE/NET score is essential qualification for all disciplines (including M.B.A.) except for the following category of candidates:- (i) Candidates holding B.V.Sc. /M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S. degree; (ii) Foreign nationals; (iii) NRI and their wards category (in case of M.B.A (Pharm.) only; (iv) Sponsored candidates from Public/Private Sector undertakings, Govt. Departments and Research and Development Organizations.

General Instructions:
1. Details of eligibility, qualifications, availability of programmes, admission procedure and other relevant information are available in the Information Brochure and also on our website www.niper.gov.in/niperjee2009.html. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PH and Kashmiri Migrants candidates will be as per Government of India norms.

2. Candidates appearing for final qualifying examinations can also apply but they must produce final result on the day of Counselling/Interview/GD failing which their candidature shall be rejected.

3. Information Brochure containing Application form can be obtained in person or by post from the office of the Organizing Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2009 on submission of non refundable Bank Draft of Rs. 1000/-(Rs.500/- for SC/ST) payable at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh in favour of “NIPER-JEE 2009” along with two duly typed self-addressed Slips with name (10 cms X 6 cms). Indian nationals residing abroad and foreign nationals have to remit US$100 by bank draft payable to “NIPER-JEE 2009”. Payment by cheque/postal order will not be accepted. Candidates desirous of obtaining information brochure by post should clearly mention the name of the programme in the application and on the top of the envelope carrying the request letter.

4. The candidates will have to make their own arrangement for travel and boarding for attending test/GD/Interview/Counselling.

5. Completed applications on the prescribed OMR form should be sent to Organising Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2009, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, (NIPER), Sector 67, S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, 160062, (through speed post/registered post) so as to reach him on or before 27th April 2009. The Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. Applications received after the due date will not be considered. No correspondence/ inquiry in this regard will be entertained. The Institute shall not be held responsible for misplacement of any loose sheet. Therefore, all the applicants are required to submit the application form properly tied together. The attested copy of valid NET/GATE score card only shall be sent with the application form.

6. A common written test for all disciplines of the Masters programme will be held on Sunday, the 14th June, 2009 at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune and Trivandrum. The centres may be altered if sufficient numbers of candidates do not register for a particular centre.

I. ELIGIBILITY:

1. Educational Qualifications :

For Ph.D. and M.Phil.

(i). Candidates must have a Post Graduate Degree in concerned discipline with a minimum of 55 percent marks in
aggregate. For SC / ST candidates the aggregate shall be 50%.

For Ph.D. programme in Management Science, candidates possessing MBA are eligible. The candidates possessing
Post Graduate qualification in any other subject with 5 years of experience in managerial capacity are also eligible.

Admission Procedure

Admission to PG programmes will be on the basis of the performance at the Post-Graduate And PhD Entrance Examination (PGEE 2009) and an interview to be held at Hyderabad. However, for the research programmes i.e., Ph.D. and M.S. by Research programmes, exceptional candidates may be called directly for the interview on the basis of their application.

Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (PGEE 2009):
An all-India examination to test the preparedness of the applicants will be held on February, 2009. The examination will be held at Hyderabad and a number of major cities in the country depending on the number of applicants from each region. The entrance examination will consist of two papers. Paper I test the general aptitude of the candidate and will consist of objective questions from Mathematics, Programming, and Logical Reasoning. Paper II is the Subject Paper, which tests the candidate's subject knowledge.

All applications should be made through the Post-Graduate Admissions Portal.Simply mailing the application fee is not good enough.

IISERs M.S. Programme admissions 2009

Education and research in science are the foundation of knowledge supremacy, economic prosperity and good health. Taking advantage of latest technological innovations to usher in an era of advanced scientific learning in the country is the primary goal of Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER). Five IISERs have been established by the Government of India at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. This is a unique initiative in science education in India where teaching and education are totally integrated with state-of-the-art research nurturing both curiosity and creativity in an intellectually vibrant atmosphere of research. The IISERs aim to become science institutes of the highest international caliber. Each IISER is an autonomous institution conducting its own Masters and Doctoral programmes. Students are encouraged to work on research projects during the vacation periods in the first four years of their Masters programme in various research institutes outside IISER.

Admission to 5-Year Integrated Masters (M.S.) Programme
Applications are invited for admission to the 5-Year Integrated Masters (M.S.) Programme at IISERs for the academic session 2009-10. Applications are to be submitted online as per the instructions provided on this website. Apply Online between June 2 and June 19, 2009. by clicking link given above.

Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent examination: passed in 2008 or appearing in 2009 and
have also qualified in one of the following examinations:
Kishore Vaigyanic Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) SX (2009), SA (2007) and SP streams.
IIT JEE-2009 merit list or extended merit list.
Availability of Seats and Reservations
Each IISER will be admitting about 100 candidates. The percentage of seats reserved for different categories as per the Government of India norms are:
15% for Scheduled Class (SC) category.
7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST ) category.
Up to 27% for eligible Other Backward Classes (OBC) category (non-creamy layer)
Remaining seats are available for General category
Up to 3% for Physically Disabled (PD) candidates in all the four categories (General, OBC, SC and ST)
Counseling
Counseling for the admission will be held on June 29, 2009 for KVPY stream applicants and on July 2, 2009 for IIT JEE 2009 applicants simultaneously and concurrently at all IISERs. A non-refundable counseling fee of Rs. 1000 will be charged at the time of counseling. This amount will be adjusted against the tuition fee for selected candidates at the time of admission.

Admission
The list of the selected candidates will be announced after counseling is completed at all IISERs. Selected candidates should deposit full admission fees within 15 days of issue of the offer letter, failing which the offer will be withdrawn.

Ph.D Programme
Candidates who satisfy the general eligibility criteria and the educational qualification shown below are eligible to apply for Ph.D. Programme.

General Eligibility
Master's Degree of this University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this University. Specific Educational Qualifications are given in Clause 2.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology of this University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study with a minimum of 15 Years of R & D Experience in National research laboratories / Public sector undertakings and with minimum of three publications in referred journals / two patents in the last five years.

A minimum of 55% percent marks/CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50 percent marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale, in case of SC/ST candidates).

For M.A (English) Degree holders including SC/ST applicants a minimum of 50 percent marks is necessary.

Candidates in employment, who want to pursue Full-time studies should be sponsored by their employer & should avail leave for the research period and should get formally relieved from their duty to join the research programme.

Candidates who are sponsored by the AICTE under Quality Improvement Programme for Teachers of Engineering Colleges who satisfy the eligibility conditions shall be eligible for Full time only, in the disciplines as notified in AICTE guidelines.

Candidates who are selected in Fellowship programmes of National or any recognized bodies and who satisfy the eligibility conditions as per the regulations are eligible for full time studies in the respective disciplines.

Foreign nationals sponsored by Government of India on any exchange programme and who satisfy the eligibility conditions as per the regulations, are eligible for Full time study.

Part Time Ph.D Programme
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for part-time programme.

Full-time teachers of the constituent Colleges/Colleges affiliated to this University as in Annexure IV.
Candidates working in the projects undertaken from State/Central/ Quasi Government and totally funded through the projects in the constituent colleges/affiliated colleges of this University. The Principal Co-coordinator of such projects shall be a recognized supervisor of this University and the candidate shall register for Research programme under such supervisor only. The candidate should be employed in the project for the minimum period of the research programme (clause 5). Part employments in different spells or in different projects are not permitted. The department where the project is undertaken should be a recognized research centre of this University.

Candidates working in Industrial units or R & D Departments/Labs/Units of Government/Quasi Government or any other research laboratories which are recognized by the university to have collaborative research with the University and sponsored by the respective employer/Organization.

AIPGMEE-2009 Post Graduate Medical/Dental Entrance Examination

All India Institute of Medical Sciences invites applications in the prescribed form for All India Post Graduate Medical/Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE-2009) to be conducted by on Sunday, the 11th January, 2009

AIPGMEE-2009 is the basis for admission under 50% seats quota in various Postgraduate (MD/MS/Diploma & MDS) courses in Medical and Dental Colleges in the country run by the Union of India, State Governments (except Government of Andhra Pradesh and J&K) and Municipal or other local authorities.

Eligibility-:
(1) The Candidate must be a Indian national.

(2) The candidate must possess MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized Medical/Dental College or a foreign degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 AND full registration either from the Medical/Dental Council of India or State Medical/Dental Council after completing the compulsory rotating internship.

(3) Candidates who have obtained MBBS/BDS from Medical/Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to apply. IIT Madras Ph.D. and M.S. programmes

Eligibility: A) Minimum Academic Qualifications Required for Admission :

Master's degree in Engineering / Technology / MBA of IIMS or equivalent with first class or minimum 60% marks or equivalent for certain areas.

NOTE : Candidates with background and qualifications in allied Engineering subjects other than those specifically mentioned above may also be considered for admission to Ph.D programme with the recommendation of the concerned department and with the approval of the Senate.

Admission of B.tech/B.E. Candidates

Candidates who have qualified for the award of Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology with exceptionally good academic record in the prescribed disciplines will be considered for direct admission to Ph.D programme subject to the following conditions :

If the Candidate happens to be a B.Tech degree holder from an IIT, he/she should have qualified for the degree in the top 25% of his/her branch.

In the case of Bachelor's degree holder in Engineering or Technology from an University, he/she should have qualified for the degree among the top 10 rank holders of the University.

The Candidate must be eligible for admission to Post-graduate programme with a valid GATE score.

Full-time candidates alone are eligible to be considered for such direct admission. Candidates admitted will be eligible for Half-time Teaching/ Research Assistanship of Rs 5,000/- p.m.

B) Project Staff Admission

Candidates working in Sponsored Research and Consultancy Projects in Departments / Centres of this Institute as Project Staff / aspiring for appointment in projects may also apply for Ph.D programme. The minimum qualifications needed are :

i) Ph.D in Engineeing areas :
