The CEED 2015 (Common Entrance Exam of Designing) results have been declared. In order to check the results, the candidates should log in to the official website, the link for which is here:

Steps to check result:
The candidates should log in to the official website;
Click on 'CEED 2015 Results' link
Login with the registered email ID and password;
The results will be displayed on the screen.

CEED results will be displayed on the website, Information provided in the application form by the CEED qualified candidates will be shared with the participating departments and may also be used for statistical analysis. The CEED score card is valid for a period of two years from the date of declaration of the results. It cannot be treated as a proof of date of birth, category or disability status.

[Note: Authority to declare the results is vested solely with GATE-JAM-CEED Office, IIT Bombay. If any claim or dispute regarding CEED 2015 arises, the Courts and Tribunals in Mumbai and Mumbai alone shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to entertain and settle such dispute or claim.]

After the declaration of the results, CEED score cards will be available for downloading to all the qualified candidates after 22nd January 2015. Hard copy of the CEED score cards will NOT be available and hence will not be sent to the qualified candidates.

The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2015

Run by the Royal Common Wealth Society, this essay competition is the world’s oldest and largest schools’ international writing contest. It provides a platform for young people to compete in a global environment where they are encouraged to be creative in junior (under 14 years) and senior (14 to 18 years) categories.

Queen’s Commonwealth Essay competition gives young people from diverse backgrounds a platform to express their views about the world and their dreams for the future. Participants continue to demonstrate their ability to stimulate and provoke discussions about important issues like poverty, sustainable development, gender inequality, child labour and universal education.

Eligibility: The competition is open to young writers aged 18 and under.

BARC OCES/DGFS 2015 Application Process

OCES- 2015: This is a one year Training Program for Engineering Graduates (B.E/B.Tech./B.Sc. Engg. / 5 year Integrated M.Tech). or Science Postgraduates (M.Sc). The Training Program is conducted in the BARC Training Schools located at BARC. Mumbai / Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research. Kalpakkam / Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology, Indore / Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad / Atomic Minerals Directorate. Hyderabad, Training Scientific Officers (TSOs) will be paid a stipend of Rs.20,000/- pm and a one-time Book Allowance of Rs.10,000 during the Training Period.

DGFS - 2015 : Under this scheme, Engineering Graduates (B.E/B.Tech./B.Sc - Engg.) or Physics Postgraduates (M.Sc) who have secured M.Tech/M.Chem Engg. admission in 2015 in one of the following Institutes, In specified disciplines will be offered a two year DAE Graduate Fellowship. DGFS Follows will be reimbursed their tuition fee during M.Tech/M.Chem Engg. and additionally be paid a stipend of Rs.20,000/- a one time Book Allowance of Rs.10,000 and a contingency grant of Rs.25,000/- towards M.Tech / M.Chem Engg. project related expenses.

DGFS Institutes : IIT - Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and BHU - Varanasi. NIT- Rourkela and Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) - Mumbai.

On successful completion of M.Tech/M.Chem Engg. the DGFS Fellow would join DAE as a Scientific Officer, with additional increments (subject to conditions).

The selection procedure, which is common for both schemes, has two stages. An initial screening will be done either by a valid GATE-2014/GATE 2015 Score or by performance to an Online Test to be conducted in March, 2015. As cut-off GATE scores for screening into Selection interviews will be decided only after the Online Test has conducted, candidates are advised to maximize their chances of being screened into the Selection Interview by availing both the screening avenues detailed above.

In the second stage, the screened in candidates will be called for Selection Interviews to be held in Mumbai and Hyderabad during May-June 2015. Final Selection is solely on the basis of performance in Selection Interview, subject to medical fitness.

Union Public Service of Commission (UPSC) is conducting National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination on April 19, 2015. Admissions would be conducted for Army, Navy and Air Force of India . Applications are invited for the same provided a candidate fulfills the Eligibility.

Educational Qualification:
Applicants should have passed 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination organized by a State Education Board or a University.
Applicants against the Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates pursuing the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply.

A candidate should be:
i) An Indian citizen, or
ii) A subject of Nepal, or
iii) A subject of Bhutan,
iv) Tibetan refugees migrated to India before January1, 1962 and currently permanent residents, are also eligible to apply, or
v) A person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, United Republic of Tanzania etc
The candidates belonging to ii), iii), iv) and v) should produce "Certificate of Eligibility". The eligibility certificate is not required in case of Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Age Limit: Male Unmarried candidates (born in between July 2, 1996 to July 1, 1999) are eligible

Physical Standards: Applicants should be physically fit and meet some of the measures of NDA.
Candidates should not be having certain ailments like Varicocele, Undersized Chest, Gynaecomastia, Tonsillitis, Overweight/Underweight, Hydrocele/Phimosis, Deviated Nasal Septum, Wax (Ears) and Piles. Applicants need to have a good mental health as well.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore has invited applications for fellowships in Ph.D/M.Sc programmes.

Eligibility :

Foreign students are eligible to apply only for a Ph.D. programme or an M.Sc.(Engg) programme. They are NOT eligible to apply for an integrated Ph.D. programme, ME/MTech programme, the undergraduate programme etc.

Non-Indian Citizen and NOT persons of Indian origin are eligible to apply for admission (Indian citizens i.e. those holding an Indian passport (whether residing in India or abroad) need to apply through the regular admission process.)

Persons of Indian origin holding non-Indian passports can apply for admission through the regular process of admission for Indian citizens provided they hold an Overseas Citizenship of India as per section 7B(1) of the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955. In addition, they need to satisfy all the eligibility criteria for admission prescribed for Indian citizens.

Eligibility Criteria for Individual Programmes :

For Ph.D. programme: A Masters degree or a four-year undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline. Departments offering a Ph.D. programme and their respective eligibility criteria are listed in this page.
