Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Aurangabad has invited applications for admission to Bachelor's of Arts (B.A) honours in Hotel Management and Culinary Arts programmes for the academic session 2015-16. The interested candidates can apply before May 30.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:
The candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination, in a relevant stream, with English as the main subject, from a recognised university. The candidates who have appeared for board exams, this year are eligible to apply.

Selection procedure:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of: collective assessment, group discussion and interview.

Holland Scholarship 2015

The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as 48 Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. This scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelor’s or master’s in Holland.

Scholarship : The scholarship amounts to € 5,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies.

Application criteria
* Your nationality is non-EEA.
* You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
* You meet the specific requirements of the institution of your choice.
* You have never before studied at an education institution in the Netherlands.

You need to apply directly at the Dutch higher education institution of your choice, starting 16 February 2015.

SIES-AIMA PGDM Admissions 2015

This program is a joint venture between SIESCOMS and AIMA and the quality is ensured through final examination conducted by AIMA. The program spans over 4 semesters. While the first two semesters contain general management subjects and subjects from various functional domains, the 3rd semester mainly contains the specialization subjects. The 4th semester contains integrative subjects and an integrated project. Further class-room teachings will be done for 3 days in a week and remaining 3 days will be spent by the students in a corporate environment. This would improve the application orientation of the knowledge gained during the class-room teaching.

This program is being offered in 5 specializations :
* Finance
* Marketing
* Human Resouce
* Information Systems
* Operations

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates with minimum 50% in Graduation (under 10+2+3 scheme) from a recognized University are exempted from the entrance test for admission.
Interested candidates with below 50% in graduation are required to appear in the test (MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ ATMA / any other state level test.) to be eligible for the interview.
There will be no cut off score.

Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has invited applications for the admission of candidates to full time and part time postgraduate and Ph.D programmes for the commencing 2015 session.

Postgraduate courses
Engineering in- mechanical, design, chemical, civil, computer science, electronic and in various other fields.
M.S in- applied mechanics, chemical engineering, school of biology sciences, telecommunication technology and management and various other courses.

Ph.D courses
Ph.D in applied mechanics, biochemical engineering and biotechnology, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, humanity and social sciences, mathematics and various other courses.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have an aggregate CGPA of 6.75 (for general and OBC) and 6.25 (SC/ST/PH) on a ten point scale or equivalent.
The candidates must have scored at least 60 per cent marks (for general and OBC) and 55 per cent marks (for SC/ST/PH).

Selection Procedure
The candidates will be selected on the basis of a test and an interview, conducted by IIT.

ELS One World Essay Contest 2015

ELS One World Essay Contest 2015

ELS Educational Services, Inc. recently declared submissions open for their Many Languages, One World essay contest which invites students from recognized universities all over the world to submit their essays. The contest is sponsored by the United Nations in order to support their sustainability goals for the future and promote the continued impact of linguistic multiculturality upon the organization and the world at large. Those who write an essay selected by the appointed panel will win a trip to US and will be taken to New York to participate in the United Nations Global Youth Forum and ELS Preparatory Conference.

The topic of the essay ought to be post-2015 global development which is fostered by greater co-operation and interaction between culturally and linguistically diverse nations around the world. The essay itself should be no more than 2000 words and in one of the six official languages of the United Nations: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Only students above 18 years of age and currently enrolled in a recognized university are eligible for the contest. Also the essay must be endorsed by a University Faculty Member or Authorized Representative who will certify it is the applicants' original, unaided work.

70 Students will be selected as delegates to the 2015 United Nations Academic Impact Global Youth Forum where they will create plans of action related to the United Nations Post-2015 Global Development Agenda. The students will present these plans of action at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
