Candidates for the admission to the PhD programme shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by the Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognised or authorised by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.

Applications are invited for admission to MBA programme for session 2021-22 in the School of Management Studies of the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology . Eligible candidates may apply online till April 30, 2021 (Friday) 5:30 PM. After applying online, duly filled-in and online generated, printed and signed application form must reach The Admission Cell, Office of the Dean (Academic), MNNIT Allahabad Prayagraj – 211004 latest by May 11, 2021 (Tuesday) up to 5.30 PM along with the e-Receipt of fee payment of, non-refundable, Rs.1200.00 (Rs. 600.00 for SC/ST) and other related documents. CAT 2020 scores shall be used for short-listing of candidates. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. 

Eligibility  :  

* The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent of minimum three years duration in any discipline, with at least 60% aggregate marks or CPI 6.5 [55% aggregate marks or CPI 6.0 in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently abled (DA) (this may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)].

* Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. However, marks sheet of qualifying examination must be submitted to the office of Dean (Academic) within six weeks from the last date of registration, failing which the admission will be cancelled automatically.

* Applicants should note that the mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by the Institute.

*Applicants must have valid score of CAT -2020.

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship with IIM announces the  Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship MGNF 2021-2023

The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) is an opportunity for young, dynamic individuals to contribute to enhancing skill development and promote economic development. 

The two-year Fellowship seeks to combine classroom sessions (Academic Module) host IIMs  with an intensive field immersion at the district level (District Immersion) to create credible plans and identify barriers in raising employment, economic output, and promote livelihoods in rural areas.

MGNF is a Certificate Program in Public Policy and Management offered by IIMs. It has been designed at the initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India (GoI) and implemented in collaboration with State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs).

MGNF 2021-23 will be rolled out nationally in more than 660 district across India. The program will be hosted by 9 IIMs (IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Jammu, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Nagpur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur and IIM Visakhapatnam) separately with IIM Bangalore managing the common admission process.

On joining the program, the candidate will receive a stipend of Rs. 50,000 per month during Year 1 of the program. On completing the requirements of Year 1, the candidate will receive a stipend of Rs. 60,000 per month during Year 2 of the program.

National Entrance Screening Test-NEST 2021 Admission to 5 year Integrated MSc Programmesin Biology, Chemistry,Mathematics and Physics at NISER and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programmes of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country

Eligibility : 

* Candidates in the Unreserved and OBC categories must have been born on or after August 01, 2001. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Divyangjan candidates.

* Class XII qualifying examination must have passed in either 2019 or 2020. Candidates appearing in 2021 are also eligible. (Where only Letter Grade is given by the Board, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required. In the absence of such a certificate the decision of the respective Admission Committees will be final.)

* At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Divyangjan candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.

* Candidate should secure a position in the NEST merit list.

The detailed criteria for the award of fellowship are as follows:

* The fellowship/ HRA/ contingency will be granted to research scholars admitted in the technical universities in the identified thrust areas of the scheme.

*  Technical universities will admit candidates in their research programme as per their procedure following minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by AICTE.

* The candidate must have secured minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.5 on the scale of 10 (or minimum 75% marks) or equivalent at both Bachelors and Masters. In addition to above, the candidate should have qualified GATE/ NET during the last 5 years. For SC/ ST/ PH candidates, CGPA requirement will be 7.0 on the scale of 10 (or 70% marks) or equivalent.

* The candidate should be less than 30 years of age as on date of admission in respective technical university. However, age relaxation of 5 years would be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ ST, women and physically challenged category in succession. 

Online examination for the Ph.D entrance test for the academic session 2020-2021 will be held on 23rd February 2021

NCHM JEE 2021 Application Process

The registration for NCHM JEE conducted by NTA  has started on February 3 and candidates can apply for the exam till May 10.The entrance examination will be conducted on June 12.

The entrance examination is conducted for admission to the BSc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) course at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) for the academic year 2021-22 in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode.

The Institutes affiliated to NCHMCT offer BSc(Hospitality & Hotel Administration) programme jointly with the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The three-year course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector.

The NCHM JEE score is accepted by all the participating institutes for admission to the BSc courses offered by their respective institutions.

The application fee prescribed for the general candidate is Rs 1000, Rs 700 for General EWS, and Rs 450 for SC/ST, PwD and transgender candidates.  

NTA will be conducting the NCHM JEE-2021 on 12th June 2021 in the Computer Based Mode.

VITEEE 2021 Postponed to June 2021

VITEEE exam date has been postponed by the Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT. The VITEEE 2021 will be held from June 18 to June 26, 2021.

Earlier, the VITEEE 2021 was scheduled to be held between the second and third week of April. Candidates can fill the VITEEE 2021 application form up to March 30, 2021, at vit.ac.in.

The exam is conducted for admissions to BTech programmes offered by its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal. The online application process will close on March 30, 2021. 

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is held every year for admission to Engineering programmes offered by VITs at Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, and Bhopal.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, VIT decided not to conduct the entrance exam and admitted students on the basis of Class 12 marks.

DRDO Online Courses 2021

Defense Institute of Advanced Technology, DIAT will start the registration process for DRDO Online Courses 2021 on Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security. The registration process for both the course would begin on January 28, 2021, on the official site of DIAT 

The last date to apply for the courses is till February 15, 2021. The short-term training and certification course is a 12 weeks online course offering a mix between fundamentals and advanced topics for both courses. The course will be for a two-hour-long online session five days a week.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning course will be a mix between fundamentals and advanced topics of various domains of AI & ML such as Probability Theory, Pattern Recognition, Big Data Analytics, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Augmented Reality, Deep Learning and related advancements in the domain.

Cyber Security course will be a mix of fundamentals of cybersecurity and advanced topics such as forensic and incident response, system programming, reverse engineering and malware analysis, basic and advanced vulnerability analysis, exploit mitigation, and penetration testing followed by the tools and techniques for Cyber Security professionals.

Interested candidate will have to appear in the Entrance test which will be conducted on February21, 2021.The result will be announce on February 22 and only those who qualify the entrance test will  be eligible for joining courses.

The course fee for both the courses is Rs.15,000/- and last date to submit fee is February 26.
