SIMC-UG Bachelor of Media Studies (BMS)

The full-time programme is spread over a period of three years, and spaced out over six semesters of six months each, incorporating theoretical lectures, hands-on practical sessions, tutorials, classroom presentations, take-home assignments, sporting & cultural events, field trips, study tours, projects, internships.

Specialisations –

* Journalism in Print, Electronic & Cyber Media
* Audio-Visual Production including Radio & Television Production, Advertising & Documentary Film-making and Film Studies
* Advertising including Client Servicing, Account Planning, Media and Creative - Copy & Visual
* Public Relations including Corporate Communication and Event Management

Eligibility:

Applicants having completed their 10+2 in any discipline from any recognized Board / Council / University with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks, or equivalent grades, are eligible to seek admission.

Candidates expecting their 12th results may also apply. Their admission will be provisional and subject to furnishing proof of securing a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks, or equivalent grades, in the same latest by beginning of the Second Semester.

SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) is a common objective entrance written test conducted by Symbiosis for graduate programmes. It is the first step in seeking admission to Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication (Undergraduate). Candidates are shortlisted for the second round on the basis of SET scores. SIMC (UG) gives a varied weightage to SET components and does not go by the aggregate score alone.
