MICA’s PGP offering has two programmes: PGDM-C and PGDM, as per the AICTE (accreditation body), regulatory requirement, for the admission’s process for the Academic Year 2021-2023.
MICAT is the mandatory entrance test for admission to PGDM programs at MICA Ahmedabad. It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will be conducted twice for selection of PGDM-C and PGDM 2021-2023 batch. Better of the two MICAT Scores will be considered to select the candidates. Apart from taking CAT 2020 or XAT 2021, you need to appear in MICAT. The MICAT application fee is Rs.1985/- inclusive of GST.
There will be two MICAT exams and both are computer based tests. MICAT-1 will be conducted in December 2020 and MICAT-II will be conducted in February 2021. MICA Ahmedabad will open the MICAT-1 Registration process in August, 2020 third week. The last date to apply for MICAT is third week of November 2020. Apart from PGDM and PGDM-C, MICA also offers 1-year Post Graduate Certificate Program, Crafting Creative Communications (CCC), and the 4-year Fellow Programme in Management (FPM).
MICAT is the MICA institute specific entrance exam for admission to PGDM-C and is conducted by MICA. Apart from appearing in CAT 2020, XAT 2021 or GMAT, the candidates applying for admission to 2 years full time PGDM-C or PGDM programme at MICA will have to appear in MICAT-I in December, 2020 or MICAT-II in February 2021. MICAT commands 50% weightage in shortlisting at MICA, while 50% weight goes to CAT/XAT/GMAT score.
The candidates who appear in MICAT-1 can get better choice of test centre and GDPI Centre as compared to MICAT-II test takers.
