Indian Institute of Forest Management-IIFM PGDFM Admissions 2013

IIFM PGDFM is approved by AICTE and AIU

IIFM is a sectoral management school imparting excellent management skills as well as managerial competence in the areas of forest,environment,development management and allied sectors. It is located on a hilltop with a sprawling green campus spans over 230 acres,with state of the art infrastructure.

Eligibility : Applicants should have at least a three-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with a minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/DA) or equivalent CGPA.

Candidates appearing for the final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply provided they complete it before June 30, 2013 and fulfill the eligibility criteria as set by IIFM.

All applicants desirous of seeking admission in PGDFM at IIFM have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs), by responding to their notification published in leading national dailies. IIFM will use the CAT score for short-listing the candidates for two year full time post graduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

The PGDFM is a Two-year full time residential programme approved by AICTE and AIU. The programme has an excellent record of 100% campus placement. The programme is typically provides competence in shaping career opportunities in the newly emerging fields of corporate environmental responsibility, clean development mechanism, carbon trading, environment management, eco tourism, development finance, rural insurance, renewable energy management etc.

Admission procedure :
Admission to PGDFM programme is through CAT examination conducted by IIMs. IIFM will use the CAT score for shortlisting of the candidates. The candidates should follow the CAT advertisement of IIMs for procurement of CAT 2012 vouchers. However, IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

IIFM, a top level sectoral management school imparting managerial competence in forest,environment,development and allied sectors invites applications for its Post graduate Diploma in Forestry Management-PGDFM for the batch of 2012-2014.It is Two Year Full Time Residential Programme approved by AICTE and AIU and has a record of 100% campus placement.

Admission to the fully residential two year PGDFM is open to graduates from any discipline provided he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and qualifies through the selection process.

Eligibility :

In addition to CAT, the candidate should also fill-up a separate form for admission to PGDFM, which is available from IIFM Bhopal. The cost of IIFM application form is Rs. 900/- (450/- for SC/ ST) payable at Bhopal. This can be obtained either personally or by post. The application form can also be downloaded from our website and in that case, the completed application form should accompany the Demand Draft of the specified amount drawn in favour of “Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management” payable at Bhopal.

Filled in application form, complete in all respect including the CAT registration number (which will be available on CAT vouchers issued by IIM) should reach IIFM Bhopal on or before 12th December 2011. Applicant should attach the photocopy of CAT voucher along with IIFM application form.

Post Graduate Programme in Forestry Management (PGDFM)

Two Year Full Time Residential Programme Approved by AICTE and AIU

IIFM is a sectoral management school imparting excellent management skills as well as managerial competence in the areas of forests, environment and development management. It has a sprawling green campus spread over 200 acres with state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has a record of 100% Campus Placement for all its batches.

Eligibility Criteria

At least a three year Bachelor's degree with min 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/DA (differently abled; also referred to as Persons with Disability) or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing in final year of degree examination in 2011 can also apply provided they complete it before June 30, 2011.

Reservations

Seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Non creamy OBC, and DA (Differently Abled) candidates, as per the Government of India policy.

Fees

IIFM provides high qualify education at reasonable cost and total fee for the entire programme is Rs.3,00,000 for General / Non-creamy OBC/DA and Rs.1,80,000 for SC/ST candidates.

Admission Procedure

Apply and appear for CAT 2010 online examination. IIFM will use CAT score only for shortlisting the candidates. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Apply to IIFM separately by obtaining Admission Bulletin and the Application Form personally or by post by sending a demand draft of Rs.900 (Rs.450 for SC/ST) drawn in favour of "Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management" Candidates should keep a photocopy of the bank draft as it would be required at the time of filling up the Application form.

Alternatively, the Application form can be downloaded from the website of IIFM and the filled application form along with the requisite fee mentioned above should be sent to IIFM.

Alternatively, the application form can be obtained from IMS Study Centres. Candidates procuring the Application form from the above study centre should enclose the photocopy of the cash receipt issued by them.

Group Discussions and interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held at IIFM, Bhopal during March / April 2011.
