The admissions will take place through XLRI Research Aptitude Test (XL-RAPT-2018), which will be conducted on January 7, 2018.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have postgraduate degree. Applicant should have passed centres of higher learning with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

A professional qualification like CA, ICWA or CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) Or

A BE/BTech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) and two years of relevant work experience

XAT 2018 Application Process

XAT 2018 is also referred as Xavier Aptitude Test. It is the university level entrance exam, which is organized by the XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) on the behalf of XAMI. XAT exam is conducted for the admission in more than 150 B-Schools of the country. The exam is the gateway for admission in management courses. For more than 60 years XLRI is organizing XAT exam at all India level basis.

XAT 2018 will be conducted on Sunday, January 7, 2018. XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of the XAMI. For more than 60 years XLRI is conducting XAT at all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. The XAT score is being used by more than 150 institutes for the admission.

XAT 2018 would be conducted across India in the following cities. Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam. Applicants should note that registration for XAT 2018 and appearing for XAT 2018 is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. Applicants to different institutes, besides XLRI have to apply separately to Institutes of their choice.

Applicants for XAT 2018 can choose to pay online using credit card/ debit card/ online banking. Candidates can also make payment through a demand draft made from any bank (in favour of XLRI Jamshedpur). Third alternative for making payment can be “cash”. This can be done from any of the IDBI Bank branches located in India to make payment for XAT 2018

XLRI Doctoral Program in Management 2014

XLRI amongst the top 3 management institutes in the country invites application for Doctoral Level Program- Fellow Program in Management (FPM)

XLRI FPM is a full-time, residential Doctoral level (Ph.D.) programme. This programme trains prospective scholars to become highly skilled and innovative researchers and teachers in various aspects of management. It primarily aims at preparing students for careers as faculty members at premier academic institutions.

Fellow students are awarded a fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month till the successful completion of the Comprehensive Qualifying Examination and subsequently the fellow student will get Rs. 30,000 per month till the end of 4 years from the date of admission, and no fees (admission, tuition, course material, computer, or library) will be charged. Fellowship will be paid only to fulltime residential students for a maximum period of four years. From third year, a student can work as Research and Teaching Assistant (RTA), for which Rs. 30,000 per course will be paid extra.

XAT will be conducted by XLRI on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institute- XAMI on Sunday, January 5,2014 .

Eligibility : The candidate must hold a recognised Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or complete by June 10, 2014

After initial registration on www.xatonline.net.in a candiate receives XATID. Make online payment using XATID through VISA/MASTER credit/debit card (or IDBI Net banking) for an amount of Rs 950/- (Rs. 650/- for SC/ST candidate)

or

A candidate can register for XAT through cash payment. using XATID candidates has to download the XAT pay-in-slip and deposit a non-refundable amount of Rs. 950/- (Rs. 650/- for SC/ST candidate) in the requested IDBI Bank branch. The transaction number provided by the bank needs to be entered in the XAT registration page

or

A candidate can also register for XAT through demand draft (DD) for Rs. 950/- (Rs. 650/- for SC/ST candidate) drawn in favour of 'XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT" payable at jamshedpur and then enter the DD details on the XAT registration site. Candidates registering through cash payment or DD, has to download the confirmation page and send it to XLRI along with the pay in slip or demand draft

XAT 2013 Know New Format of Exam

XAT 2013(Xavier's Aptitude Test) conducted by XLRI is scheduled to see some major changes in the pattern form 2013.

The duration of the test has been extended to three hours instead of of earlier 2.20 hours and a section on general awareness has also been added. the exam will remain in the pen and paper format and will be conducted in a single day.

The exam will have two parts, the first part will have multiple-choice question on three sections-data interpretation and quantitative ability,analytical reasoning and decision making,verbal ability and logical reasoning. The time allotted for this section is 2:20 hours. The second part will have easy writing and general awareness and time allotted for this is 40 minutes.

XAT will be held on Sunday, January 06, 2013 in 38 cities across the country and 3 cities outside India for all the programmes (BM, HRM, FPM and GMP).

To Apply :
Register for XAT through online payment using credit card/debit card for an amount of Rs.950/- (Rs.650/- for SC/ST candidates). He/she then has to send the XAT confirmation page (that has to be downloaded after registering for XAT) to XAT Office, XLRI, C H Area (East), Jamshedpur- 831001

OR

Register for XAT through cash payment. After successfully completing the registration, the candidate has to download the XAT pay-in-slip. A non- refundable amount of Rs. 950/- (Rs.650/- for SC/ST candidates) is to be tendered to the nearest branch of IDBI Bank. The transaction number provided by the bank in the pay-in-slip has to be entered in the registration webpage and download the XAT confirmation page and send to XAT Office, XLRI, C H Area (East), Jamshedpur- 831001, along with the XLRI’s copy of XAT pay-in-slip.

1. Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
Executive Fellow Programme in Management (Exec-FPM) - The Executive Fellow Program is a part-time, non-residential, doctoral program that has been designed to cater to the scholarly needs of working executives/ managers/ faculty members/ researchers.

Eligibility-:

For Full-time FPM:

Applicants for the FPM should have a Master' s degree or its equivalent in any discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) , with a Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification obtained after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary education or equivalent and three years of relevant work experience. OR

CA/ICWA or CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidate) and three years of relevant work experience. OR

BE/B.Tech degrees or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) and four years of relevant work experience are eligible to apply in any of the areas.

The applicant must hold a Bachelors/Masters degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or possess an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.

For Part-time Exec-FPM-:

Applicants for the Executive-FPM

Should have a Master's degree or its equivalent in any discipline, or CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) or BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates);

Should be currently employed in a full-time job; and

Must have at least five years of full-time executive/managerial (Or at least 3 year of full-time teaching/research experience) as on December 31, 2009.

Application procedure-:
Interested candidates are required to (1) apply online to take the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT), and (2) apply online to XLRI for the FPM. Those who will be taking the XAT should visit http://www.xlri.edu and follow the instructions for applying to XLRI for the FPM.

Instead of taking the XAT, FPM candidates can also submit the result of GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC JRF (research) exam taken during January 2008 and December 2009. Those who have done their PGP from XLRI any IIM, MDI Gurgaon, FMS Delhi, or XIM Bhubaneswar with a CQPI of at least 6.00/8.00 or equivalent will also be exempted from appearing in the XAT. Those who will not be taking the XAT should visit www.xlri.ac.in/research and follow the instructions for applying to XLRI for the FPM.
