Google has recently announced the commencement of 'Doodle 4 Google' competition in India on the occasion of Children's Day on November 14. The competition is open for all children from the age group of 5 to 16 years.
The theme is 'India's gift to the world"
The winner will receive a technology starter package,which will include a laptop,a year's internet connection and Rs 2,00,000/- as technology grant for the school that he or she will represent

Chief Ministers Fellowship Program 2011
The Chief Minister's Fellowship Program Gujarat is an extraordinary opportunity where Fellows will spend 11 months on high profile projects, based in Gujarat, to make an exceptional impact on social development.
The Government of Gujarat is a proven leader in economic growth, development of agriculture, innovation in scheme design and use of advanced technology in governance. This high performance will be extended to the Fellowship Program to inspire the best young achievers to advance as contributors of excellence.
The second batch of Fellows will start the program in October, 2011. Fellows will be placed with a Department and will begin the program with an induction period and ground level study. The 1st batch of Fellows had completed projects on spiritual tourism, energy management in urban development and human development analysis and in other areas.
To be eligible for the Chief Minister's Fellowship Program, applicants must have, as a minimum, a university degree and relevant work experience. Post graduate qualifications and significant work experience will be preferred. Fellows are expected to demonstrate and document outstanding work and impact, as well be building their knowledge and skill set for the development sector.
Only applications submitted online will be considered.
Application deadline 31st August, 2011.
Start Date 2nd October, 2011.

International Fulbright Science and Technology Award 2011
The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) invites applications from interested Indian applicants for the International Fulbright Science and Technology Award for outstanding foreign students. This award is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and is designed to be the most prestigious international scholarship in science and technology. The International Fulbright Science and Technology Award reaffirms America's pre-eminence and competitiveness in the fields of science, technology, and engineering, as the U.S. remains the most attractive destination for serious scientific and technological research and study.
The International Fulbright Science and Technology Award is for PhD study at top U.S. institutions in science, technology, or engineering beginning August/September 2011. The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State will fund grants for up to three years under this program. After three years, U.S. universities will cover the remaining expenses toward completion of a PhD. Academic placement (university admission and other formalities) of the selected scholars will be handled by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Fellows will travel to the U.S. on J-1 visas and will be subject to J-visa regulations.
In the fifth year of this program, approximately 45 awards will be offered worldwide for candidates who demonstrate unique aptitude and innovation in scientific fields. Two principal nominees from India will compete with candidates from all over the world for this fellowship. Application deadline: May 1, 2010.
