PGD-CET 2009 Maharashtra on 25Th January 2009
Entrance Examination (PGD-CET 2009) for Dental Postgraduate Courses (MDS) will be held on Sunday, 25Th January 2009 from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
The cost of application form along with the Information Brochure of PGD-CET 2009 and Examination fee is Rs. 1800/- to be payable by DD/Pay Order drawn on any Nationalised or Scheduled commercial Bank in favour of “Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. The Brochure and Application Form will be available at the following institutions from 10/12/2008 to 24/12/2008. Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria as per the PGD-CET-2009 brochure, before purchasing the application form.

3. Dean, Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Aurangabad
4. Dean. Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Nagpur
Application forms duly filled can be submitted in person from 10/12/2008 to 24/12/2008 at any of the above centers. The application form should not be sent by post/Courier, such forms will be rejected without any intimation.
Eligibility Criteria
(1) A candidate must be an Indian National.
(2) A candidate, who has passed final B.D.S. degree from a recognized dental college included in the schedule of the Dental Council of India and situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to the Non-agricultural University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and who has obtained registration either from the Dental Council of India or Maharashtra State Dental Council (MSDC) after completing one year compulsory rotating internship will be eligible to appear for PGP-CET-2009. The candidates who have passed final BDS examination completing internship by 31st March 2009 are also eligible.
(3) Candidate obtained BDS Degree before introduction of one year compulsory rotating internship training, i.e. on or before 1989 also will be eligible to appear for PGD-CET-2009.
(4) Candidate who has obtained BDS degree from Deemed University is not eligible to appear for PGD-CET-2009.
(5) A candidate should have obtained DCI/MSDC registration by the date of Preference Form filling process. (Refer Rule No. 6.3 of PGD-CET-2009 brochure)
(6) The candidates who were admitted to the colleges/institutions which are now affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) will be eligible till such time as they are awarded the degree by the University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.
(7) A candidate who is domiciled in Maharashtra and who has obtained admission under 15% quota for All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) for BDS course and who has obtained the degree from a university situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGD-CET.
