Indira Gandhi National Open University B. Com A & F/M. Com F & T admissions opens

Indira Gandhi National Open University

Invites application for Admission to the B. Com with Major in Accountancy and Finance (B. Com A & F), M. Com in Finance and Taxation (M. Com F & T) for July 2008 session. Exclusively for Chartered Accountancy students Designed and Developed in collaboration with The Board of Studies, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Accountancy and Finance (B. Com A & F)

Students can simultaneously study B. Com (A&F) along with Chartered Accountancy. On completing Chartered Accountancy First stage, students get exemption to all those courses in B. Com (A&F).

Eligibility for Admission:

(i) 10+2 or its equivalent
(ii) Passed Common Proficiency Test/ PE-I/ Foundation From ICAI, and
(iii) Registration in Professional Competency Course/ PE-II/ Intermediate of ICAC (Or) Already passed Professional Competency Course/ PE-II, Intermediate of ICAI.

Duration: 3 years (1 year for those who have already passed CA First Stage)

Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi

Master of Commerce in Finance and Taxation (M. Com F&T)

Students can simultaneously study M. Com (F&T) along with CA Final. On successful completion of CA Final, students get exemption to all those courses in M. Com (F&T).

Eligibility for Admission:

(i) Graduate in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute and

(ii) Admitted in Chartered Accountancy Final Course (Or) Already passed Chartered Accountancy.

Duration: 2 years (1 year for those who have already passed CA).

Medium of Instruction: English

The Student Handbook and Prospectus is available on website at http://www.ignou.ac.in. The application form can be downloaded from the website and submitted to the Regional Director concerned along with requisite Programme fee (to be paid by way of Demand Draft) and all other enclosures as per Checklists on or before the last date, i.e. 1st September 2008. In such a case, candidates are required to pay an additional amount of Rs.450/- by way of a separate Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city where the Admission Form is being submitted. A printed copy of the Student Handbook & Prospectus would be sent to such candidates separately.

The Student Handbook and Prospectus can also be obtained from 21st July 2008 from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU, or from the Registrar, SR&E Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110 068, in person on payment of Rs.400/- in cash or through post by sending an IPO or Demand Draft or Rs.450/- drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city of the Regional Centre or New Delhi, as the case may be. Please write your name, address and programme on the back of the Demand Draft.

Last date for Requisition for supply of Prospectus by post: 10th August 2008
